Katchalov Ships on Neuville

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

The flop read {3-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts} when we found Pierre Neuville and Eugene Katchalov heads up. Neuville had first action and he fired 1,200 into the middle. The PokerStars Team Pro came over the top with a raise to 2,800 only to have Neuville three-bet to 6,500. Katchalov called to see a turn.

Fourth street was the {5-Clubs} and Neuville slowed with a check. Katchlov moved all in for roughly 15,000 and Neuville opted to kick his cards into the middle.

With this win, Katchalov is now flirting with starting stack while Neuville has dropped to about 18,000.

With the board reading {5-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, Leo Margets had checked and Zimnan Ziyard bet 2,575 into a pot containing over 7,000. The Team PokerStars Pro tanked for several minutes before finally calling.

"Only a nine," said Ziyard, tabling {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

Margets flipped {Q-Spades}{5-Spades} for flopped two pair and took the pot.

Painful Exit for Van Hoof

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Jorryt van Hoof
Jorryt van Hoof

November Nine chip leader Jorryt van Hoof has just been knocked out by the hands of Simon Taberham. Van Hoof came over to us and explained what happened in a big pot that lead to his demise.

The player under the gun raised to 500 and Van Hoof three-bet to 1,550 holding {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}. The button, small blind and under-the-gun player all called creating a four-way pot on the flop.

The flop came down {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and the small blind and initial raiser checked to Van Hoof who bet 4,000. The button and small blind, Taberham, called and on the turn a {3-} popped up.

This time Van Hoof fired out 14,500 with just 1,300 chips left behind and the button folded after which Taberham said," Someone told me to play this hand," as he made the call.

On the river a {7-} popped up and Van Hoof ended up all in for his final chips and up against Taberham's {5-}{6-Hearts} for a rivered straight.

Van Hoof's heading for an early shower today but we will see him again this week in the £10,000 High Roller event.

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

Niall Farrell fired 2,300 on the turn of a {J-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{A-Spades}{3-Clubs} board against another player who made the call to see the {9-Spades} on the river. Farrell bet 6,600 and got an instant call from his opponent's {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} but Farrell showed {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for top two to win the pot.

"Are you back up to starting stack?" asked PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo.

"If I am, I'm going home right now," joked Farrell. He counted what looked to be about 34,000. "Look at that! Profit!"

Farrell immediately raised to 500 in the next hand from early position. "Goodbye profit."

Farrell was called in three spots including de Melo in the big blind to see a {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop. It was checked to Farrell who bet 1,200 and Ahmad Rehaime was the only caller. The {K-Diamonds} turn and {A-Hearts} river were checked down and Farrell turned over {A-Spades}{9-Spades} to win another pot.

Misclick Earns Extra for Nicolau

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Sakis Nicolau opened with a raise to 600 from the hijack only to have Bruno Fitoussi three-bet to 1,750 from the button. Action folded over to Jabran Zahid, but Nicolau acted out of turn by dropping out a four-bet to 3,600.

"If I call he has to keep that out?" asked Zahid to the dealer.

The dealer confirmed that Nicolau's chips were committed to the pot, prompting Zahid to flat call the original three bet. Nicolau's four-bet to 3,600 stood, putting action back on Fitoussi. He let go of his hand and Zahid opted to cut out a five-bet to 7,200. Nicolau called.

The flop came down {6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Zahid continued out for 4,800. Nicolau thought for approximately 90 seconds before announcing a raise to 11,600. Zahid instantly flicked his cards to the muck and Nicolau was awarded a sizable pot. His stack now sits at 49,000 while Zahid's has dropped to about 23,000.
