Holz Empties the Clip

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Javier Gomez Zapatero opened to 45,000 and Niccolo Ceccarelli called from one seat over before Fedor Holz three-bet out of the hijack for 150,000 in total, only receiving a call from the Italian. On the {10-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {10-Hearts} flop Ceccarelli check-called a bet of 130,000 and did so again for 214,000 on the {7-Diamonds} turn.

The {8-Spades} river saw a check of Ceccarelli and Holz moved all in for 404,000 in total. The Italian tanked for minutes and then eventually tossed his cards into the middle of the muck.

Zapf Doubles

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Manuel Zapf was at risk for 114,000 chips only with {J-Clubs} {7-Clubs} from the button and Rudolf Wilhelm Zintel snap-called from one seat over with {A-Spades} {3-Diamonds}. The {A-Hearts} {J-Spades} {10-Clubs} flop provided a hit for both players while the {J-Hearts} turn gave Zapf trips. The {Q-Hearts} river bricked and the Austrian sat back down.

Nuutinen Spikes an Ace

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

In a battle of Scandinavians, Jorma Nuutinen was at risk for 516,000 and Alexander Ivarsson looked him up in a button versus big blind showdown for half his stack with {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}. Nuutinen was at risk with {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} and did get there on a board of {4-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {10-Spades}.

Updated Chip Counts from Table 2

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Zapf Finds Himself in a Bad Spot

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Bruno Volkmann opened for 45,000 and action folded to Manuel Zapf, who shoved all in from the big blind. Volkmann quickly called off for 445,000 total and the cards were tabled.

Zapf: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Volkmann: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Zapf was looking for a high five, but the dealer didn't hook him up and instead ran the board out a dry {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

Duda Bets into Levy

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

After a three-bet pot preflop, Antonin Duda check-raised the {K-Clubs} {5-Spades} {J-Clubs} flop from 101,000 to 290,000 and Nir Levy on the cutoff called. The {7-Hearts} turn saw a bet of Duda for 330,000 and that won the pot.

Wrang Wrangles Up a Walking Stick

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

A short-stacked Jannick Wrang moved all in under the gun for 198,000 and Fedor Holz, who was to his direct left, made the call. The rest of the field got out of the way and the cards were turned up.

Holz: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Wrang: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Wrang was way behind, but not after the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop delivered him a set. Neither the {J-Spades} turn nor {A-Spades} river gave Holz a set, and Wrang lived to fight another hand.

Four-Bet Anyone?

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Fedor Holz opened to 48,000 from the cutoff and Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz three-bet to 150,000 from one seat over. Sergio Aido put out his hammer and four-bet to 335,000 in the small blind. This shut down all further action and the Spaniard increased his stack without showdown.
