Lundgren Gets Lucky to Stay Alive

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Up at the feature table, Bjorn Lundgren got his short stack of 153,000 all in preflop from the hijack and ran into Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz in the small blind.

Wyrzykiewicz: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Lundgren: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The {8-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Clubs} didn't do Lundgren any favors, but the {9-Hearts} turn did. Lundgren spiked his set, and successfully cracked Wyrzykiewicz's aces when the {Q-Clubs} blanked on the river.

Hold Crushed the Hopes of Ceccarelli

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Niccolo Ceccarelli had won quite some chips off Bart Kuiper on the river of a {J-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {6-Spades} {9-Spades} board after spiking a two outer with his {9-Hearts} {9-Clubs} to beat the jack of Kuiper. As a result, the stack of the Italian had grown to around 900,000 but that all vanished just now after a massive clash with Fedor Holz.

It was Holz who five-bet shoved preflop and put Ceccarelli at risk with the {10-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}. The Italian went into the showdown with {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} and the WCOOP champion found a flush draw on the {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {2-Diamonds} flop. The {K-Diamonds} turn completed said flush and Ceccarelli now needed a king or queen to stay alive.

The dealer burned and turned the {5-Clubs} river and that was it for the Italian.

More Pressure from Ensan

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

The only pressure that Hossein Ensan experiences right now is the one from the massage, because at the tables it is the German that applies pressure on his opponents. Ensan called a raise from Alexander Ivarsson and check-raised the {10-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {10-Hearts} flop to 125,000. Ivarsson called that but then bowed out to a bet of 143,000 on the {3-Hearts} turn.

Flip Goes Wrong for Wrang

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Jannick Wrang
Jannick Wrang

Three EPT champions had remained until now but Jannick Wrang just had to give up hopes of a second win when three-bet shoving his stack of 320,000 chips out of the big blind. Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz was the initial raiser from early position and called with {10-Spades} {10-Hearts} to face the {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} of the Dane.

The {7-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {8-Spades} flop was bad news for Wrang and it was all over after the {8-Hearts} on the turn. A meaningless {9-Hearts} appeared on the river and Wrang headed to the payout desk in 26th place.

Cooler Hand Doesn't Result in Expected Outcome

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Samuel Chartier
Samuel Chartier

Mateusz Moolhuizen, who won his seat into this tournament in the very last satellite, opened for 55,000 under the gun and was met by a three-bet to 120,000 from Valentin Messina, who was to his direct left. Sam Chartier then four-bet jammed for 358,000 from the hijack. Moolhuizen looked him up and Messina got out of the way.

Moolhuizen: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Chartier: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

It was a cooler of a hand, but Chartier was on the good end. The tables were turned though as the {8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop delivered Moolhuizen a set, though Chartier at least picked up a flush draw.

The {2-Hearts} turn was no help to Chartier, and neither was the {Q-Clubs} river. With that, Chartier bowed out in 26th place while Moolhuizen chipped up to 1.2 million.

So Nir, Yet So Far For Levy

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Antonin Duda has leapfrogged Hossein Ensan and into the chip lead after he was fortunate to eliminate Nir Levy.

He raised to 53,000 from the cutoff before Levy three-bet to 160,000 from the big blind. Duda took his time before he announced he was all in. Levy checked his cards once more and called all in for around 800,000.

Duda: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Levy: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The board ran {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs} to make Duda a straight and send Levi on his way.

Vranken Busts to Aido's Queens

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Antoine Vranken
Antoine Vranken

Antoine Vranken was all in for 330,000 with {9-Hearts} {9-Clubs} and Sergio Aido looked him up with the {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}. The Spaniard had little reason to worry and stayed ahead until after the {J-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {K-Spades} {5-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} river.

They are Clicking Buttons Again

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Sergio Aido raised to 52,000 and Bart Kuiper from one seat over made it 135,000 to go. Aido then grabbed raising chips and his four-bet to 285,000 won the pot.
