Selbst Vs. Kitai

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Vanessa Selbst
Vanessa Selbst

In what looks like it could develop into a personal battle, Vanessa Selbst and Davidi Kitai were involved in another pot against each other as the rest of the table looked on.

Selbst opened from early position for 500 and called a 1,800 three-bet from Kitai in the small blind.

The flop of {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} was checked and the {k-Clubs} on the turn saw Kitai bet 3,300 in his trademark style. Selbst thought for a minute or two before making the call. The river card {9-Spades} saw both players check.

Kitai showed {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Selbst turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} saying of her preflop call, “Pretty bad eh?”

Kitai remained tight lipped.

Madsen Flops Top Two

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Jeff Madsen opened for 450 and 2012 EPT Player of the Year Ondrej Vinklarek made the call on the button.

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Madsen made a continuation bet of 675. Vinklarek raised it up to 2,125 and Madsen made the call.

The two continued to check both the turn ({6-Hearts}) and river ({8-Diamonds}) and Madsen flipped over {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the winning hand, Vinklarek mucked.

Another very Interesting Table

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Next to the feature stage is table 34 and Zohair Karim was moved there not long ago. Super High Roller champion Leonid Markin sat down maybe half an hour ago and already made some chips whereas Sabina Hiatullah and Baden Logan were seated there in level one already.

Logan four-bet a three-bet of Hiatullah from 1,400 to 4,500 and the Italian called to see the flop of {Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {2-Diamonds}. There was no action and Logan then took it down without showdown after betting the {8-Clubs} turn for 5,000.

With this table constellation we can expect quite a few fireworks in the hours to come.

Selbst Runs into Unlucky Spot

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Witold Wojtkow raised to 450 and got three callers, Vanessa Selbst called as well out of the big blind and they went five-way to the flop of {8-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades}. Only Selbst check-called a bet of 1,100 by Wojtkow and did so again for 2,300 on the {J-Clubs} turn. Once the {9-Clubs} river had completed the board, she asked her opponent for the remaining stack size and it was 10,400.

Selbst moved all in and was snap-called to see her {J-} {10-} fall short to the {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} of Wojtkow.

Cherepyanyy Gets Paid Off

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Ari Engel raised it up to 500 from under the gun plus one and watched as Oleg Cherepyanyy bumped it up to 1,200 from the next position. The table folded back around to Engel who called, before both players watched the flop come down {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

A check call from Engel for 1,100 followed as the {10-Spades} fell on the turn. Another check from Engel saw Cherepyanyy lead out for 1,600 which was called before both players tapped the table on the {k-Diamonds} river.

Cherepyanyy then tabled his {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} for a pair which was good enough to take down the pot as Engel mucked his hand.

Spindler Doubles with a Set

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a flop of {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} the big blind had 500 in front of him. A player behind him had raised to 1,500 and Benny Spindler directly to that players left had the decision. The EPT London winner moved all in for 15,075 and the big blind almost instantly folded.

The raiser thought about it for some time before eventually calling with {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. Spindler turned over the {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a set and raked in the double up chips after the {K-Diamonds} hit the turn and {6-Spades} hit the river.

Selbst Wins Big Pot

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

The final board read {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Vanessa Selbst bet 8,800 which was a pot sized bet.

Vadim Belov was the man with a decision to make. He asked for the bet to be spread out and thought it over for some time before making the call. Selbst turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Belov strained his neck to see what she had tabled.

The dealer helped him out by pulling the cards out to show a straight and Belov mucked his cards.
