Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

After a raise to 5,000 and one call, Dan Shak also called out of the small blind and Ivan Soshnikov then three-bet tom 32,000 out of the big blind. The other two opponents folded and Shak pondered about his decision for a while. He eventually folded {10-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} for everybody to see and was shown the {8-Hearts} by Soshnikov.

Holz in the Danger Zone again

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Fedor Holz opened to 6,000 from the hijack on the short handed table and saw Connor Drinan make it 17,000 to go from the big blind. Holz made the call and called the 14,000 bet on {5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} as well.

Both players checked the {9-Spades} on the turn and the {2-Clubs} popped up on the river. Drinan pushed forward 177,000, more than enough to set Holz all in. Holz thought about it for a bit, but eventually folded.

The next hand Holz limped under the gun, but folded as there was an isolation raise and three bet behind him.

Aces for Troyanovskiy

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Fedor Holz limped under the gun and Vladimir Troyanovkiy isolated with a raise to 7,000 from the hijack. Jean-Noel Thorel three bet to 26,000 on the button and Holz quickly laid his hand down. Troyanovkiy four bet to 58,000 and Thorel didn't waste much time before calling.

Troyanovkiy checked the {K-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop and called the casual 75,000 bet that his French opponent made.

Both players checked the {K-Diamonds} on the turn and {5-Spades} on the river. Troyanovskiy showed {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} and Thorel mucked.

Winning a World Championship of Online Poker title is the highest achievement you can earn in the online game. It’s one of those titles that can be used as a kind of short hand, like stars on a general’s shoulder, or on your PokerStars avatar, or on your McDonalds name badge. The recognition is immediate.

But these single portions of poker history are easy to miss, taking place online away from public glare. So events in Prague last night set to change that, with an award ceremony to mark the occasion in the Cloud 9 SkyBar at the Prague Hilton, as the PokerStars Blog reports.

Holz Doubles

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

The table folded around to Connor Drinan on the button who raised it up to 6,000. Fedor Holz was on the big blind and made the call before both players watched the flop come down {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

Both players checked as the dealer produced the {8-Clubs} on the turn. Holz bet out 7,500 before Drinan splashed the pot with a raise that had his opponent covered.

Holz tanked for over a minute before making the call for his remaining 35,600 in chips.

Drinan: {q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Holz: {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

Holz was in front with his two pair and improved to a full house when the {9-Clubs} completed the board.

The Set is Good for Timex

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Mikita Badziakouski raised to 7,500 and was called by Mike McDonald on the button to go heads-up to the flop of {5-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. The Belorussian continued for 7,000 and "Timex" called to see the {4-Clubs} on the turn. Badziakouski bet 20,000 and McDonald put in the chips once again.

The {7-Spades} on the river triggered a check by the Belorussian and a bet of 50,000 by McDonald, who was paid off and showed {4-Diamonds} {4-Spades} as winning hand.

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Micah Raskin
Micah Raskin

Micah Raskin had lost quite a lot of chips lately and just recovered some in a hand with Joseph Cheong. Raskin had raised to 7,000 preflop and got called by Cheong as well as Mike Leag and Dmitry Gromov. On the {J-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {9-Spades} flop, Raskin check-raised to 32,000 and Cheong called the extra 16,000 after betting the very same amount himself.

Raskin bet 32,000 on the {5-Clubs} turn and Cheong called before both players checked the {A-Clubs} on the river. Raskin turned over the [] {J-Hearts} and the pair of jacks won the pot.
