Where's the Aggression?

Thus far, the heads-up match between Soren Jensen and Tim Vance has been marked by extremely passive play. Both players are frequently limping in pre-flop and checking the flop (and turn... and river). Typically the first player to bet has taken down the pot -- that is, when the hand isn't checked all the way to a showdown. It's all made for a heads-up match so dull I fear Luckyblind has fallen asleep in his chair.

Whoever decides to ramp up his aggression can take this tournament down. Either that, or we'll just wait around for a big coinflip or pair-vs-pair situation to settle this.

More Checking

Both players limp in and see a {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop. Jensen checks and Vance checks. The turn is the {5-Diamonds}. What a surprise, they check again. The river is the {J-Diamonds}. Check-check, of course. Jensen shows ace high, Vance shows {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and he wins the pot.

Finally Some Action

Tim makes it 140,000 and Soren calls. The flop is dealt {7-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and Soren bets 80,000. Tim calls.

Turn is the {2-Clubs}. Tim checks. Soren bets 200,000. Tim thinks he is ahead but folds, and Soren shows K-7 for two pair.

All In!

380,000 in the pot by the time the turn is reached and the board reads {2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Soren bets 200,000 and Tim announces all in. Soren folds and we just had one of the biggest pots so far in this heads-up battle.

The gap between them is now a little closer.

Another One For Tim

Tim makes it 150,000 and Soren calls. The flop is dealt out {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Both players check.

Turn is the {10-Spades}. Check, check again.
River is the {J-Spades}.

Tim wins with A-7.

Tim now has 2,485,000, ahead of Soren who is on 2,115,000.

Largest HU Pot Thus Far

Jensen calls from the small blind and Vance checks. The flop is {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Vance bets 100,000 and Jensen calls. The turn is the {J-Spades}. Vance checks, Jensen bets 160,000 and Vance calls. The river is the {7-Hearts} and both check.

Vance shows 2-4 for two pair while Jensen shows A-J for top pair. Vance takes down the largest pot of (at least) the last hour.
