Latz Loses a Small One, But is Back Above 100K

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Paul Volpe opened to 900 from under the gun, a player called in the hijack seat, and Hendrik Latz three-bet to 3,000 from the small blind. Only the player in the hijack seat called.

The flop fell {8-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, and Latz check-called a 3,000-chip bet from his opponent.

The turn was the {9-Clubs}, Latz checked again, and the player fired another 4,000. Latz tank-folded, but has managed to run his stack back up to over 100,000 chips.

Raskin Roused

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Micah Raskin
Micah Raskin

Micah Raskin can take as long as a dinner break as he wants after he lost a race to bust.

There was an open to 1,100 and call before he shoved for 10,425 with {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} from the button. The initial raiser was the only one to call with {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and the board ran {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} to match his hand nicely.

Emeric Styevlik opened in middle position, Dan Smith three-bet to 3,300 from the small blind, and Styevlik called.

Smith led out for 3,700 when the flop fell {10-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, and Styevlik instantly called.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds}, Smith slowed down, opting to check, and Styevlik quickly reached for chips. He fired 6,000, and Smith flicked his cards into the muck.

Dotson Fails to Realise He Busted Mad Marvin

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Marvin Rettenmaier
Marvin Rettenmaier

A funny scene happened as Marvin Rettenmaier was being eliminated by Arlo Dotson that left both players confused as neither were on the same page.

They were heads up to the turn of a {5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board and around 16,500 had made it into the middle. Rettenmaier had 17,450 back and in they all went from the big blind. Dotson was on the button and called after getting a count of the shove.

"I better get there!" said Rettenmaier as he opened his straight and flush drawing {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

Dotson opened {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and faded all outs on the {a-Hearts} river.

As Rettenmaier was getting up to leave Dotson sat looking downwards and quietly cursed a few times, but it was loud enough so Rettenmaier could here. When Dotson looked up again he saw pot being pushed his way and his eyes opened wide as he re-checked the board. "Oh, I thought he made a straight!" said Dotson in a Texas accent.

"I misread the board," he continued as he raked in the pot. Rettenmaier was now satisfied with his opponent as he saw the funny side of the situation after being confused for a minute.
