Cody Takes One From O'Dwyer

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Conte Francesco Paolo raised under the gun to 25,000 and Steve O'Dwyer made the call. Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody three-bet from the button to 72,000 and Paolo folded. O'Dwyer tanked for a bit and called.

The flop brought out {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and O'Dwyer check-called 50,000. On the turn the {10-Clubs} hit and this time Cody bet 90,000 after O'Dwyer had checked. O'Dwyer gave it some thought but eventually he folded.

Goran Mandic raised to 26,000 after which Kevin Vandersmissen three-bet to 61,000. The action was folded to Kevin Iacofano who moved all in for 188,000 from the small blind. Noah Schwartz was seated in the big blind and he tanked for a while before kicking in his cards. Mandic folded as well and Vandersmissen called the additional 10 big blinds.

Vandersmissen: {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Iacofano: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Iacofano doubled up.

Double For Luke

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Victor Ramdin raised to 25,000 and Luke Schwartz moved all in over the top for 87,000 and the action was folded to Jason Mercier. Mercier went into the tank for a while from the big blind but eventually he folded. Ramdin called immediately.

Schwartz: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Ramdin: {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Schwartz doubled up. Ramdin still has a ton of chips while Mercier claimed to have folded pocket fours. That would've been the end for Schwartz who gave Ramdin a little fist bump for saving his tournament life.

Just before break, Steve O'Dwyer opened to 25,000 from under the gun. Clyde Tjauw Foe three-bet jammed for 195,000 from the small blind, and O'Dwyer called.

O'Dwyer: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Foe: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

O'Dwyer held on the flop ({6-Spades}{k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}), and the turn ({4-Hearts}), but the {q-Hearts} spiked on the river, giving Foe a winning pair of queens. Neither player flinched at the sight of the card, and the chips were pushed towards the Dutchman.

The turn and river came {8-Clubs}, {3-Hearts} respectively, eliminating Boeken in 26th place.
