Astarita's Coy Play Gets Extra Value
Level 31
: Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Giulio Astarita woke up with A♠A♥ in the cutoff and bet 200,000. Tomasz Wrobel on the button made the call with J♥10♥.
The flop came K♦Q♦7♠, which gave Wrobel the up-and-down straight draw. Astarita bet 150,000 and was called by the Pole.
The K♥ turn spooked Astarita who checked. Wrobel bet 325,000 and was called by the Italian.
The inconsequential 3♣ completed the board and Wrobel bet 700,000. Astarita looked pained but eventually found the call and Wrobel mucked his cards straight away.
