$4 Million Guaranteed MicroMillions Returns to PokerStars From July 7

2024 PokerStars MicroMillions
2024 PokerStars MicroMillions

Online poker's most prestigious low-stakes tournament series is returning to PokerStars from July and bringing with it $4 million in guaranteed prize pools. The 2024 edition of the ever-popular MicroMillions sees 208 affordable events take place between July 7-21 in what will be a fortnight of incredible poker action.

Where many poker tournament festivals focus on high-stakes events, often with tournaments commanding four, five, or six-figure buy-ins, the MicroMillions events start from only $1.10 and top out at a still affordable $55.

However, just because MicroMillions tournaments don't cost the earth to enter doesn't mean there isn't plenty of money to play for. The smallest guaranteed prize pool offered during the series is $1,500, and there are five events with six-figure guarantees, including the $500,000 guaranteed MicroMillions Main Event.

Early One for Von Ostrowski

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Malte Von Ostrowski limped under the gun, and action folded to Mengshi Tian in middle position, who raised to 12,000. Action folded back to Von Ostrowski who made the call.

On the J54 flop, Von Ostrowski check-called versus a bet of 13,000 from Tian.

The 5 turn was checked through. On the 7 river, Von Ostrowski led out with a bet of 25,000 and Tian called.

Von Ostrowski showed 65 for the turned trip fives, Tian mucked, and he scooped the pot

Thalmann Takes Chunky Pot

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Around 65,000 was in the middle on a completed board of 1043J9, in a hand between Tim Werner in the big blind and Yves Thalmann under the gun.

Werner checked, and Thalmann slid out a bet of 45,000. After a significant period of time thinking through the position, Werner opted to fold, seemingly reluctantly.
