Speiser Doubles Against Viola

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Andres Viola opened to 50,000 and Hannes Speiser only had one move from the small blind, he jammed for 525,000. Viola inquired about the stack but then said he would call if it was less than 30 big blinds, and so he tossed in the chips.

Speiser: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Viola: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades} and the sweat for the Austrian faded off to secure a double up.

Viola Shoves Into Heder

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Mick Heder defended his big blind against a raise by Andres Viola and the duo checked down the {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and the {8-Spades} turn. On the {5-Spades} river, Heder bet 80,000 and Viola jammed for what looked like 270,000. Heder tanked for two minutes into the new level already before tapping the table and declaring defeat.

Rose Folds to Shove

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Before the hand started, Daniel Rose in the small blind asked for a count of table neighbor Andres Viola and then still min-raised. Viola shoved and Rose released his cards into the muck. The start-of-the-day chip leader has played rather passive after losing a lot of chips very early on Day 3 and dropped to less than a million.

Rush Hour for Stoyanov

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Within three hands, Stoyan Stefanov has massively increased his stack. First he grabbed some spare change from Oliver Heppchen and then from Dragoslav Timarac before getting into a bigger pot with Ivan Luca. It was a battle cutoff versus button and around 340,000 chips were in the middle until the {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{J-Spades}{A-Diamonds} river.

Luca checked and Stefanov then bet 175,000 before the Argentinian gave it some thought and check-raised to 350,000. Stefanov took around 30 seconds before making the call and Luca flipped over the {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for trips eights. Stefanov's {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for a turned straight raked in another big pot and get even in chips with the Argentinian sensation.

Rose Folds Kings

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Daniel Rose raised to 75,000 from under the gun and Maria Lampropoulos as well as Robert Kokoska made the call. On the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop, the action checked around to Lampropoulos and she bet 100,000. Rose mucked his {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} for everybody to see and was shown {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} by Lampropoulos!

Oliver Heppchen
Oliver Heppchen

Down to just 236,000 chips, Oliver Heppchen shoved from under the gun and the action folded to Ivan Luca in the cutoff, who made the call. All other players folded and Heppchen found himself with the dominated ace.

Heppchen: {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Luca: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and that sent Heppchen to the rail in 18th place.

Rose Gets Aces Cracked; Goes Ballistic

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Mick Heder had lost quite some chips and then got his stack of 484,000 in from the cutoff. Daniel Rose, coming fresh from folding pocket kings, looked him up from the small blind and the Dane was in desperate shape.

Heder: {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Rose: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Heder made a runner runner flush to let Rose erupt in anger. "Why all the time, damn it. So sick," were just a few of the words he let out and a crowd gathered on the rail to see what happened. It was the last hand on table number three, as the redraw of the last two tables proceeded shortly after.
