The Free Poker Network World Series or Bust National Championship Series concludes today at Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Downtown Las Vegas, and the World Series or Bust National Championship will begin shortly at 10 a.m. local time.

This is an exclusive, qualifier-only tournament that will award prizes totaling over $50,000. The top two finishers will win a $10,000 seat into the 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event along with $1,000 cash. Additionally, players who finish between third-place and twentieth-place will receive a $1,500 tournament package.

Players may have previously qualified for this championship event through the Free Poker Network, FPN League Play, or through one of the previous four qualifying events at the Golden Nugget. Yesterday, the final qualifiers were completed with the Championship Mega Qualifier and the FPN Tag Team Championship.

A live-streamed feature table for this event is planned, with commentary from Chris Hanson from Poker Night in America along with Dakota Poker Tour’s Brian Peck. Feature table action will be published to the Free Poker Network YouTube Channel as well as Facebook.

Starting stack sizes vary based on previous qualifiers and all blind levels will be 30-minutes in length.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be bringing live updates until a winner is crowned, so stay tuned for all the action coming up soon.

A player in early position opened to 500, the hijack called, and the cutoff three-bet to 2,500. John Harms called in the big blind and the other players folded.

The {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop saw a check-raise by Harms, and his stack of about 24,500 ended up getting in the middle.

John Harms: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Harms' fishhooks improved to top set on the flop, and the {q-Hearts} and {k-Diamonds} completed the board to confirm the aces would be cracked, and to confirm Harms would score the early double-up.

Harms punched his ticket to this tournament by winning the Super Tournament of Champions at the Lone Star Trading Post in Nebraska, and he is hoping to continue his run for a top prize.

Two Pair for Cavaciuti

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

With a completed board of {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and about 8,000 in the pot, Ed Cavaciuti bet 6,000 from the hijack. His opponent on the button tanked but ultimately called.

"Ace-ten," said Cavaciuti as he showed the {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for two pair. His opponent showed the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} before they went into the muck.
