The Free Poker Network's World Series or Bust National Championship Series continues at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Downtown Las Vegas, and Championship Qualifier #4 - $160 Tag Team Championship will begin shortly at 4 p.m. local time.

The teams will be looking to end the day in the top 10%, as both players in a qualifying team will advance to tomorrow’s World Series or Bust Championship Event with 10,000 chips, or be given an extra 10,000 chips to the starting stack of players who have already qualified. Additionally, advancing teams will win their $160 buy-in back and there will also be $1,500 in mystery bounties up for grabs.

Players may have previously qualified for tomorrow’s qualifier-only championship event through the Free Poker Network, FPN League Play, or through one of the previous three qualifying events at the Golden Nugget. This event is the fourth and final qualifying event at the Golden Nugget and will be the last chance for players to pad their stack or win their seat into the World Series or Bust Championship Event.

Players who make it through will return at 10 a.m. tomorrow for the World Series or Bust Championship Event, which will see two individuals win a seat into the $10,000 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event along with $1,000 cash. Additionally, 18 players will take home a $1,500 tournament package in tomorrow’s event.

Team Williams Gets the Ladies

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante
Terry Williams
Terry Williams

With about 3,000 in the pot and a flop of {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}, Terry Williams and another player were headed to the turn.

The turn brought the {7-Spades}. Williams bet 1,000 and his opponent called.

Both players checked the {6-Diamonds} river and hands were revealed. Williams turned over the {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}, and the ladies were good against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} of his opponent to send the early pot to Team Williams.

Broadway for Team Hurlbert

Level 5 : 200/400, 0 ante
Elizabeth Hurlbert
Elizabeth Hurlbert

An early position player and a middle position player limped before Elizabeth Hurlbert raised to 800 on the button. The two limpers called to see a flop.

The {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop was spread by the dealer and after being checked to, Hurlbert bet 2,000. Both opponents called.

The {q-Diamonds} came on the turn and after being checked to, Hurlbert bet 3,000 this time. Both opponents continued again.

The {8-Spades} completed the board and action was checked to Hurlbert again. She bet 7,000 and only the early position player called to see a showdown.

Hurlbert showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the nuts as her opponent mucked and sent her the chips.

Team Holt-Ozcan Eliminated on Bubble by Team Marts

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Arda Ozcan
Arda Ozcan

Arda "Oz" Ozcan shoved in his team's short stack of about 20,000 chips from early position and Nick Marts called in the small blind.

Arda "Oz" Ozcan: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}
Nick Marts: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Marts was ahead but Ozcan had live cards. The {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop gave Ozcan additional outs with a flush draw, but the {3-Hearts} turn changed nothing. Needing to improve with one card to go, the {a-Diamonds} completed the board to send the team of Holt-Ozcan to the rail on the bubble.

The eight remaining players have now all locked up the prize of 10,000 chips for Sunday's qualifier-only finale, as well as $160. The remaining players will now play down to a winner to decide the recipients of the Tag Team Championship belts.
