Dorofte Shows a Bluff

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

A player in middle position opened to 1,100 and was called by Codrin Dorofte in the cutoff. Yasong Tang squeezed to 4,000 on the button, which got a fold from the initial raiser and a call from Dorofte.

Dorofte checked to Tang, who continued for 2,500 on the 105A flop. Dorofte then check-raised to 6,500 and Tang called.

The 7 came on the turn and Dorofte bet enough to put Tang all in for his remaining 13,500, sending Tang deep into the tank.

The clock was eventually called on Tang and he slid his hand into the muck before time ran out. Dorofte tabled 85 for just a pair of fives before collecting the pot.

Ferrando Triples up After Catching an Ace on the River

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Hugo Freitas opened to 1,000 from early position and Fabrice Ferrando shoved for his last 3,800 on the button. The player in the big blind called cold and Freitas made it 12,000 to go. The big blind thought better of it and folded and a showdown was held between Freitas and Ferrando.

Fabrice Ferrando: AKAll in
Hugo Freitas: QQ

It was a classic race, but the 7728A runout paired Ferrando's ace on the end to provide him a much-needed triple up.

Carlino Lightens the Field

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Joseph Carlino was heads-up from the small blind against the player in the hijack on a flop of 5106 with several thousand already in the middle. The hijack was already all in for a bit over 10,000 and Carlino tanked a bit before deciding to make the call.

Hijack: AKAll in
Joseph Carlino: A10All in

The 2 and 4 river kept Carlino ahead with his pair of tens and he collected the rest of his opponents chips.

"I thought you had jacks," Carlino said as his opponent exited the tournament area.

Payet Continues to Climb

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

The player in the hijack opened to 800 and was called by Nicolas Payet in the cutoff and the player in the big blind.

Action checked to Payet, who bet 800 on the A59 flop. Both of his opponent quickly folded and Payet, who doubled up on one of the first hands of the day, added to his already large stack.
