Koon Gets the Max

Level 3 : 10,000/20,000, 2,500 ante

"Decent@Gambling" opened for pot in the small blind and Jason Koon called in the big. Decent@Gambling continued for 67,500, half the pot, on {9-Hearts}{j-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Koon called. On the {2-Hearts}, Decent@Gambling checked and called a small bet of 79,100. On the {7-Spades} river, Decent@Gambling checked and Koon shoved all in. It was 452K, just over the pot, effective.

Decent@Gambling tanked a long time and called with {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a straight but was no good against {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for a flush.

Astedt Shoves for Several Times Pot

Level 3 : 10,000/20,000, 2,500 ante

Ole Schemion raised to 46,000 in the cutoff and Niklas Astedt made it 148,000 in the big blind. Schemion called, bringing a {7-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop. Astedt simply crammed it all in for Schemion's remaining 1,187,000, and Schemion tanked awhile then folded.

Prize Pool Exceeds $2 Million

Level 1 : 7,000/14,000, 1,750 ante

The last few Day 1 starting flights did manage to push the field to 1,412 which inched the prize pool a hair over the $2M guarantee to a total of $2,012,100.

That amount will be shared among the top 150 finishers. The first-place prize will be $263,344 while everyone at the final table is guaranteed at least $29,437. A min-cash in 150th, meanwhile, will pay $3,866.
