Schemion Finds a Double Through Watson

Level 3 : 400/800, 100 ante

An early position raise of 2,000 by Mike Watson was called by Ole Schemion in the big blind and an {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop fell. Both players checked through to the {7-Clubs} turn where Shcemion bet 8,800 and Watson called.

A {4-Diamonds} river completed the board and Schemion continued to bet, putting in 28,884. Watson was quick to shove for a total of 123,743. Schemion hit the timebank but in the end, he elected to call for his last 63,505.

Watson turned over {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a missed straight, having just a pair of fours which was of no contest for the {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds} that was held by Schemion, sending a complete double to Schemion and his two pair.

Filatov Finds Rockets Early in the Day

Level 3 : 400/800, 100 ante

Lev "LevMeAlone" Gottlieb was in the big blind, having only one competitor in Anatoly Filatov who completed the small blind and Gottlieb elected to raise to 3,200. Filatov hit the raise button, making it 11,600 to go and Gottlieb called.

An {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop spread out on the board, Filatov continued for 8,720 and Gottlieb once more called. The {8-Diamonds} turn card was followed by a 16,476 bet by Filatov and Gottlieb snap-called to see the {5-Hearts} river.

Filatov pushed his 59,939 stack into the pot and Gottlieb called, tabling {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for aces over nickels. Filatov showed his far superior {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}, giving him a boat and more than enough to secure a complete double for the GGPoker ambassador.

Five-Bet Takes it Home

Level 3 : 400/800, 100 ante

Vlad-Stefan "HaiFanFan" Lache opened to 2,400 from the button and a three-bet of 10,400 came through from Steve O'Dwyer in the small blind.

Lache four-bet to 27,550 and without hesitation a five-bet shove of 116,890 was put in from O'Dwyer. Lache time-bank folded, sending a healthy-sized pot to O'Dwyer.

Martirosian Catapults into Early Lead

Level 1 : 250/500, 60 ante

Mustapha Kanit opened from the cutoff for 1,300, Artur Martirosian called in the small blind and Justin Bonomo defended this big blind to see the {q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop. Action checked to Kanit, he bet 1,464 and Martirosian raised to 5,995.

Bonomo ducked out and Kanit called. A {10-Hearts} landed on the turn and Martirosian reached for chips, putting in a large bet of 23,600. Kanit hit the take but ultimately, he elected to call the bet and a {9-Diamonds} completed the board.

All-In was announced by Martirosian and he put his 68,245 stack into the middle. Kanit timebank-called for just 250 left and was at risk as he tabled {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for top two. It was unfortunately not enough for Kanit when the Russian turned over his {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, giving him a set and the pot.

Kelopuro Snatches an Early Pot from Holz

Level 1 : 250/500, 60 ante

Action fell on Sami Kelopuro in the small blind who completed, only to have Fedor Holz bump it up to 1,786 from the big blind. Kelopuro called and a {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop landed on the board.

A check-call of 1,216 by Kelopuro saw an {8-Clubs} peel off on the turn and once more he tapped to Holz who bet 9,000. The bet was quickly called by Kelopuro and a {9-Hearts} completed the board.

Holz saw action fall on him, putting in a lighter bet of 8,000 and Kelopuro instantly switched gears as he check-raised to 28,742. Holz released, sending an early pot to Kelopuro.
