Quads for Hartmann

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Hartmann vs Coleman
Hartmann vs Coleman

Pascal Hartmann is on his third bullet and saw a raise of Stephen Chidwick from under the gun for 4,400. He called from the hijack and so did David Coleman from the big blind.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for Coleman to check. Chidwick continued with a bet of 4,150 and Hartmann took some time before opting to call and Coleman did the same.

They all checked through the {10-Spades} on the turn to the {j-Diamonds} on the river. It was checked to Hartmann who considered what to do for a bit before opting to bet 17,000. Coleman called for the 16,066 he had left while Chidwick folded. Coleman showed the {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for the straight but Hartmann held the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for quads.

Kempe Out in Two Hands

Level 4 : 800/1,600, 250 ante

Rainer Kempe raised to 3,360 from the button and "sisu" defended their big blind. They both checked through the {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} flop to the {j-Spades} on the turn. "sisu" bet 2,400 for Kempe to raise to 9,560. "sisu" considered their options and then decided to reraise to 24,000 which Kempe called. The river completed the board with the {6-Hearts} and "sisu" contemplated for a bit before betting 62,180 which Kempe called with the {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for top pair with top-kicker but "sisu" held the {k-Spades}{7-Spades} for the flush.

A few hands later, Kempe pushed his last 7,103 over the line from the middle position and "sisu" called from the cutoff. Luuk Gieles three-bet jammed for 105,613 from the button for the blinds to fold but for "sisu" to make the call.

Rainer Kempe: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Luuk Gieles: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
"sisu": {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{a-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for "sisu" to flop the pair of jacks but for Gieles to river the set of nines to eliminate Kempe and earn full double through "sisu".
