Kyle Menard outlasted a field of 291 entries to win the $3 million guaranteed HRW 02: $10,300 Super MILLION$ for $628,892 at GGPoker.

Menard began the final table with the chip lead. Although the lead was passed around to several of his opponents, he wound up with all of the chips at the end to not only win the title but also to break the seven-figure mark in tournament earnings at GGPoker with $1,012,507 and counting.

The past few days have been huge for Menard at GGPoker as in addition to winning the Super MILLION$, he also was on the podium on Sunday in another big event when he took third place in the Battle of Malta #6: $5,250 High Roller Championship for $235,088.

Menard faced some tough competition in the final table including the likes of Stephen Chidwick, Timothy Adams, Philippe D'Auteuil, Urmo "PidrPan" Velvelt, Daniel "iStayOn5" Colpoys, Eelis Parssinen, Fany "fab5" Auge, and Samuel "goldfish55" Hunter.

Menard almost made a big name for himself earlier this year when he just missed out on WSOP gold with a runner-up performance in the WSOP Event #81: $1,050 No Limit Hold'em Bounty for $128,417.

Unlike many of his opponents, this was Menard's first appearance in the Super MILLION$ and he made it count in a huge way.

Final Table Action

The final table lasted about 2 hours and 10 minutes from beginning to end. Menard began the action with the chip lead but D'Auteuil went on a big run to open the action to become the chip leader.

The three shortest stacks in Hunter, Velvet, and Chidwick were all elimianted in succession. Auge followed them to the rail shortly after to leave just five players remaining when the first break took place.

Shortly after the action resumed, Adams committed his stack with queen-jack and couldn't get there against Colpoys' big slick. Colpoys took over the chip lead from D'Auteuil as a result of the hand.

D'Auteuil then won a big pot against Colpoys to hold nearly half the chips in play, while leaving his three opponents tightly grouped together in chips.

Shortly after, Colpoys went from hero to zero and headed to the sidelines. He three-bet jammed with ace-queen and was unable to get there against Parssinen's cold four-bet jam with big slick.

The second and final break began shortly later and didn't last long after that.

D'Auteuil hit the rail after jamming over the top of Menard's bet with ten-nine suited on the {7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{8-Clubs} board after the turn. Menard snap-called with pocket eights and D'Auteuil was unable to get a save on the river.

Heads-Up Action

Menard entered heads-up play with a small lead against Parssinen. The action didn't last long as three hands later Menard was crowned the champion.

Menard bet all three streets including a jam on the river on a queen-high board after opening the action on the button with queen-jack. Parssinen called all the way with queen-seven and his weak kicker came into play to give Menard the victory with both players holding top pair.

Despite missing out on the win, Parssinen more than doubled the $378,547 in career tournament earnings at GGPoker with second place worth $472,222.

Level 36 : 100,000/200,000, 25,000 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Canada's Timothy Adams is one of the most established poker players in the world with $24,330,801 in live tournament earnings including two wins in Super High Roller events and a WSOP bracelet in 2012. This places him in 12th place on The Hendon Mob All-Time Money List.

Normally this would be good enough to be the biggest dog on campus but as we already mentioned earlier in our coverage, Stephen Chidwick has him beat as he his in fourth place in all time live poker tournament earnings.

Adams has found huge success at GGPoker as well with $3,444,875 and counting in tournament earnings.

Adams' success hasn't come until now in the Super MILLION$ as this is his 19th appearance and only his third cash. This is also his first final table appearance at a Super MILLION$ tournament.

It took two bullets for Adams to make the final table where was in good shape to start things off in fourth place.
