Who Will Win the Super Million$? Final Table Begins at 6 p.m. GMT

The HRW 02: $10,300 Super MILLION$, boasting a $3 million guarantee at GGPoker, has reached its nine-handed final table and what a final table it is. Nine of the world’s best players have navigated their way to the latter stages of this massive event and are now only eight eliminations away from a huge $628,892 payout.

The final table kicks off today at 6 p.m. GMT with PokerNews reporting all of the action at the final table on a 30-minute delay until a winner is crowned. Blinds will increase every 30 hands throughout the final table.

This first-place prize is so large that winning it catapults the champion into 17th in the Super MILLION$ all-time money listings! Kyle Menard is the man in pole position for this gargantuan sum, but all eyes are on another Canadian, one making his first Super MILLION$ final table appearance, a certain Timothy Adams.

Timothy Adams

Adams has played in 19 Super MILLION$ to date and has managed to reach the money places on two occasions. The first, in August, ended in a 32nd place finish worth $21,521. He improved on that best finish in October when he crashed out in 14th for $22,999.

The super high roller specialist returns to the action with a 3,435,784 stack, enough for fourth-place at the restart. Adams tends to take tournaments down when he reaches this stage, it would take a brave, or perhaps stupid, person to bet against Adams becoming the latest Super MILLION$ champion today.

Kyle Menard is one star Adams’ needs to outlast if he is to become this tournament’s champion. Menard is the chip leader when play resumes and it’s safe to say he’s running hot. This is his first Super MILLION$ appearance, his first cash and his first final table. Will it be his first victory, too?

Menard finished third in the $5,250 High Roller Championship event while playing Day 1 of this event. That netted him $235,088. Finishing fourth or better tonight will beat that impressive prize.

This is also the first Super MILLION$ final table appearance for “iStayOn5”. It’s taken 11 attempts for the Canadian to reach this stage, but what a time to do it with the prize pool bolstered to $3 million. IiStayOn5 has cashed for $62,558 in the Super MILLION$, he’s guaranteed to at least double that sum regardless of his finishing position.

Brazil’s Fany “fab5” Auge is the player in third position when the first cards are pitched at the final table. This is his second Super MILLION$ cash and first final table. The South American is guaranteed to beat their previous largest GGPoker cash, which weighs in at $35,953.

D'Auteuil Sells 50% of His Super MILLION$ Action

Philippe D'Auteuil
Philippe D'Auteuil

Philippe D’Auteuil finished fifth in this tournament on October 18 and banked $114,982. He’s now made his second final table and sits back down, ironically, in fifth place. D’Auteuil is guaranteed at least one railbird while he’s playing because he used the GGPoker staking feature to sell 50% of his action at 1.13 mark-up. Ami Barer bought all 50% so is set for a $300,000+ payday should D’Auteuil go all the way here.

Down in sixth place you find the Finnish superstar Eelis Parssinen who has registered his third cash and now his first Super MILLION$ final table. Parssinen is better-known for being an elite PLO player but he’s swapped four hole cards for two and is now has the opportunity to more than double his GGPoker career winnings of $378,547.

Samuel “goldfish55” Hunter may not be an alias you’re familiar with but you could be by the end of this tournament. They’ve won $40,449 from GGPoker tournaments so far, a total they’re going to more than double even if they finish ninth. They’ve played three Super MILLION$ events to date, but this is the first occasion they’ve cashed. Their 2,656,124 chips place them seventh at the restart.

Estonia’s Urmo "PidrPan" Velvelt is the player currently occupying eighth place. Velvet will break through $1 million in GGPoker winnings regardless of their finishing position today. Their only other cash in a Super MILLION$ event came on October 20 and saw the Estonian finish 15th for $17,891.

Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick is the man bringing up the rear when play resumes. His 1,233,294 chips are worth a shade over 10 big blinds, so he has plenty of work to do and will need to ride his luck. Victory in this event still eludes Chidwick despite reaching three final tables before this one. An early double could see Chidwick back in contention to get the proverbial monkey off his back.

Urmo "PidrPan" Velvelt Waving the Estonia Flag

Urmo Velvet
Urmo Velvet

Estonia is a small country of around 1 million people but you wouldn't know it playing at GGPoker where consistently you will see the blue and white Estonian flag often deep in events.

Urmo "PidrPan" Velvelt represents Estonia in tonight's event with the second shortest chip stack.

Things didn't start smoothly for Velvelt as he lost his first bullet during the late registration period. He made it for it on his second bullet, which he parlayed into today's final table.

This was Velvet's 10th appearance in a Super MILLION$ event and tonight will represent his second cash. This cash is already guaranteed to be Velvet's biggest in a Super MILLION$ event, but has some work to do in order to surpass his biggest score on GGPoker of $214,051 when he finished runner-up in the WSOP Event #58: $5,000 NLHE 6-Handed.

Regardless of how Velvet finishes, he is guaranteed to pass $1 million in earnings at GGPoker as he is heading into tonight's action with a total of $953,841 in tournament winnings.

Level 34 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante

Philippe D'Auteuil raised from the small blind for a huge amount with {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Chidwick called off with {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

Chidwick didn't connect with the {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} board and hit the rail in ninth place for $63,552.

Eelis Pärssinen
Eelis Pärssinen

Eelis Parssinen, formerly known as "Jaakko" at GGPoker, is a well-known poker player from Finland where in January of this year he shipped the Helsinki Freezeout €1,050 Pot Limit Omaha for €35,031 ($39,033).

Like fellow final-tablist Urmo Velvet, he also has a name in Estonia as in February 2019, he finished runner-up in the Kings of Tallinn €3,000 High Roller for €44,150 ($50,063).

Parssinen has amassed a similar amount of cashes in live tournament with $385,356 as he has at GGPoker with $378,547. This is sure to change today with Parssinen entering the final table in sixth place.

This was Parssinen's seventh Super MILLION$ appearance and his third cash.

Chip Lead for D'Auteuil

Level 34 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante

It has been the Philippe D'Auteuil early on at the final table. He just won another hand to take the chip lead.

The hand began with D'Auteuil raising to 280,000 from middle position. Fany "fab5" Auge defended from the big blind and the {9-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{2-Hearts} came on the flop.

Auge check-called a bet of 140,000 after the {9-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{2-Hearts} came on the flop. Both players checked after the {4-Hearts} came on the turn.

The {a-Hearts} paired the board on the river. Auge checked once again before D'Auteuil fired out for 585,000. Auge made the call and turned over {9-Spades}{7-Spades} for two pair.

D'Auteuil was ahead the entire way as he turned over {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a better two pair.

Adams checked again after the {10-Diamonds} came on the turn. Velvet jammed for 1,372,502 and was called by Adams.

Philippe D'Auteuil Sells Half His Action to Ami Barer

Level 35 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
Philippe D'Auteuil
Philippe D'Auteuil

While many players ponied up the hefty $10,300 buy-in for the Super MILLION$, not all did including Canada's Philippe D'Auteuil, who entered the final table in the middle of the pack in fifth place.

Coincidently, D'Auteuil once took fifth place in a Super MILLION$ event for $114,982 and this will be his third cash in four events.

The Canadian has managed good results both in live tournaments with $1,248,146 in cashes to go along with $292,732 in winnings at GGPoker.

D'Auteuil entered a $100 feeder tournament into a $1,000 direct satellite to the Super MILLION$ and won them both. He is guaranteed the highest ROI from any player entered.

Bets were already hedged for D'Auteuil as he sold 50 percent of his action in the GGPoker client to Ami Barer at a mark-up of 1.13.
