Fishhooks No Good for Holz

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Fedor Holz just lost a bunch of his stack with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} against the {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} held by Joakim Andersson.

Bad Beat for Vieira; Barer Extends Chip Lead

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Joao Vieira opened the button for 3,360. Amichai Barer jacked it up to 17,650 from the small blind. Vieira four-bet to 36,800 and called off for 76,585 after Barer five-bet.

Joao Vieira: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Amichai Barer: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Vieira was ahead when the chips were committed but it didn't stay that way for long as Barer paired up on the {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop. Neither the {8-Hearts} on the turn nor the {9-Hearts} on the river was able to provide Vieira a save to stay alive and hit the rail on a bad beat.

The day isn't over for Vieira as he re-entered for a fresh stack of 100,000 in chips after the hand.

Andreas Christoforou: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Matthias Eibinger: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Christoforou improved to a full house to assure a double-up after the {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Clubs} ran out on the board.

Cardoso Takes the Rest from "zorazeng"

Level 6 : 700/1,400, 175 ante

"zorazeng" opened to 3,500 from the hijack and was called by Nabil Cardoso in the big blind.

Cardoso led out for 3,003 after the {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} came on the flop and got a call.

The {k-Hearts} followed on the turn and Cardoso check-raised from 7,553 to 46,165 and "zorazeng" called off their stack.

zorazeng: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Nabil Cardoso: {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

"zorazeng" held top pair but needed help to overcome the two-pair held by Cardoso. No help came and "zorazeng" hit the rail after the {a-Diamonds} completed the board on the river to give the rest of their chips to Cardoso.
