Kitai Eliminates Mateos & Kempe Before the Money

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 3,500 ante

Adrian Mateos was just eliminated in 67th place. He three-bet jammed the button for 199,656 and was called by Davidi Kitai who opened in early position.

Adrian Mateos: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Davidi Kitai: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Mateos' tens were holding up after the {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} hit the flop and was even more ahead after the {j-Hearts} came on the turn. However, the {a-Hearts} spiked the river and Mateos was eliminated short of the money.

The very next hand Rainer Kempe got it in with {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} with his short stack and was unable to hold against the {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} held by Kitai after the {5-Hearts}{j-Spades}{a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} fell on the board.

There were 65 players remaining with 60 guaranteed at least a min-cash of $25,556 after Kempe hit the rail.

Straight for Kitai to Extend the Lead

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 3,500 ante

Davidi Kitai opened to 159,000 from the small blind and Andres "MaShallah" De Agustin called in the big blind.

Kitai fired out for 77,500 after the {8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} came on the flop and De Agustin called.

The {4-Diamonds} followed on the turn. Kitai bet 345,500 and once again got a call.

The {7-Spades} completed the board on the river. Kitai bet 605,500. De Agustin used a bit of his time bank before he made the call.

De Agustin held {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for top pair and the pot went to Kitai holding a straight with {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.
