Updated Counts on the Break

Blinds 175,000-350,000

In the final hand before the break, the two shortest stacks clashed in a bigger pot.

Javier Gomez opened to 700,000 and Benjamin "Geraaaard" Chalot defended the big blind to a {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop. Chalot check-raised from 385,000 to 980,000 and earned a call from Gomez to then lead the {9-Hearts} turn for 1,067,500. Gomez reluctantly called and the {j-Diamonds} river was checked by both.

Chalot tabled {k-Spades}{10-Hearts} but Gomez had that beat with {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

Ward Takes From Kolonias

Blinds 175,350,000

Alexandros Kolonias raised to 770,000 and Ben Ward was the only caller in the cutoff. The {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop brought a bet worth 800,250 by Kolonias and a call. On the {j-Clubs} turn, both checked and Kolonias check-folded the {9-Hearts} river to a bet of 2,684,500 by Ward.

Pillai Gets Shorter Again

Blinds 175,000-350,000

Shankar Pillai made it 770,000 to go and Javier Gomez came along out of the big blind. On a {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, Gomez check-called for 350,000 and did so again for 735,000 on the {2-Hearts} turn.

The {6-Hearts} river was checked and Gomez won the pot with {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} versus {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

One hand later, Pillai opened to 770,000 from under the gun and Alexandros Kolonias three-bet to 2,370,500 from one seat over. Pillai went deep into the tank and folded.

Kolonias Takes the Lead

Blinds 175,000-350,000

Alexandros Kolonias raised to 770,000 and Ben Ward was the only caller out of the big blind. Ward check-called the {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop for 1,369,500 and that's all she wrote for the action. The {5-Hearts} turn and {2-Clubs} river were checked as Kolonias won the pot with {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} versus {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

Muehloecker Jams Into Pillai

Blinds 175,000-350,000

Thomas Muehloecker raised to 718,000 and Shankar Pillai three-bet to 2,590,000 out of the small blind, which resulted in a call by Muehloecker. Pillai continued for 1,400,000 on the {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and Muehloecker tagged along.

On the {6-Spades} turn, Pillai fired a second bet worth 2,275,000, and Muehloecker moved all-in for 7,041,991 in total. That won the pot uncontested as Pillai sent his cards into the muck.

Yankov Takes From Chalot

Blinds 150,000-300,000

Benjamin "Geraaaard" Chalot made it 660,000 to go and Krasimir Yankov tossed in calling chips out of the big blind. On a flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}, Yankov checked. Chalot made it 1,025,000 to go and Yankov then raised to 2,550,000. No call followed in the final hand of the level as Chalot dropped to the second-shortest stack once more.

Three-Bet Pot to Kolonias

Blinds 150,000-300,000

Krasimir Yankov opened to 600,000 in the hijack and Shankar Pillai called in the cutoff. Alexandros Kolonias three-bet to 2,400,000 on the button. Blinds 150,000-300,000

Sebastian "Weizen" Gaehl raised to 600,000 and was called by Krasimir Yankov in the small blind and Shankar Pillai in the big blind. They checked the {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop to Gaehl, who continued for 1,050,000 and picked up two calls.

Two checks followed on the {2-Spades} turn and Gaehl now bet 3,540,000 into 5,410,000. Yankov dipped into his time bank and made the call after plenty of consideration. Pillai also went into the tank for more than two minutes and called.

The {8-Spades} fell on the river and all three players checked. Yankov tabled the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} for top pair and top kicker, Gaehl had the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and Pillai jumped into the top spot with {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for a set.
