Angelou-Konstas Eliminates Villamarin

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 150 ante

Carlos Villamarin was low on chips and jammed the button for 13,702. Ioannis Angelou-Konstas called from the big blind and players turned over their cards.

Carlos Villamarin: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Ioannis Angelou-Konstas: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Villamarin was drawing thin after his opponent hit top pair on the {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop. Villamarin was drawing dead after the {k-Diamonds} came on the turn and was officially done with his first bullet on Day 1b after the {8-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 150 ante

The field has grown to 65 entrants with 58 players remaining at the start of Level 5. Vlad-Stefan "HaiFanFan" Lache was still in the lead to start the new blind level.

Rebello Cracks Dvoress Aces

Level 4 : 500/1,000, 125 ante

Olivier Rebello just cracked the {a-}{a-} held by Daniel Dvoress.

Dvoress three-bet jammed the {8-}{9-}{j-}{j-} board on the turn and Rebello quickly called and turned over {q-}{j-} for trips. A blank hit the river and the table quickly broke after the hand.

Dvoress didn't immediately re-enter after the hand, but still has plenty of time to get back into the action if he chooses to later.

Bad Beat for Qi

Level 4 : 500/1,000, 125 ante

Alexandre "SexyBaldGuy" Mantovani opened the button for 2,500. Xuming "scplayer" Qi three-bet to 9,500 from the small blind. Mantovani four-bet to 18,500 before he called a five-bet jam by Qi to 68,445.

Xuming "scplayer" Qi: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Alexandre "SexyBaldGuy" Mantovani: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

It looked good for Qi to double until Mantovani nailed a set on the {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} flop. The {a-Spades} turn and {a-Diamonds} turned this into a full house and Qi hit the felt at least for now.

Yan Takes One Off Garbi

Level 4 : 500/1,000, 125 ante

Ravid "jerbi9999" Garbi opened to 2,200 from early position before he called a three-bet by David Yan to 7,380 from the button.

Both players checked the {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop before the {3-Clubs} paired the board on the turn.

Garbi bet 5,655 and used some of his time bank before he called a raise to 17,878 by Yan.

The {9-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Garbi checked and folded to Yan's bet of 26,446 to give his opponent the pot.

Fedor Holz Challenges Wiktor Malinowski to Heads-Up Battle

Level 3 : 400/800, 100 ante

For a guy confident enough to recently issue an open challenge to play nearly anyone in the world at any stakes, Wiktor "limitless" Malinowski seems to be receiving a surprising number of takers.

While Malinowski remains in the midst of a lengthy heads-up challenge against Stefan "Stefan11222" Burakov on PokerStars, tournament legend Fedor Holz announced he wants in on the action.

"Yo, Wiktor, what's up?" Holz said in a video posted to Twitter. "I see you're getting crushed by Stefan in your heads-up challenge. How's that going? My condolences.

"Before he takes all your money, I want to get back to that offer you made on Joe [Ingram's] podcast. To play me drunk whenever I want, whatever stakes I want. So, yeah, let's f****** do it, I challenge you."
