2016 Global Poker League Week 9

Paris Aviators vs. Moscow Wolverines
Day: 1

Danzer Doubles

George Danzer recovered from his rough start and just doubled up, to take the chiplead.

Danzer made a minimum raise to 3,200 with {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Anatoly Filatov called with his {K-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The flop gave Filatov top pair with {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, but he was still behind against Danzer's overpair. Filatov checked, Danzer put out a 3,725 bet.

Filatov tanked for a few moments, before raising all-in. Danzer called all-in for 25,000 effectively. Filatov needed a ten or a king to win this first heat, but the {6-Diamonds}-turn and {8-Spades} gave Danzer the double up.

Rough Rivers for Danzer

On the very next hand. Filatov had {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and was saved again by the river, when the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{A-Clubs} with already 12,000 in the pot.

Danzer had {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, but folded to the 4,800-bet from Filatov.
