Proscia Makes River Boat to Oust Turned Nut Flush

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Gennaro Proscia
Gennaro Proscia

Three players were waiting for the dealer to run out the board with all of the action completed. One player had their 250,000 chip stack committed to the pot and the other had their 320,000 committed. Gennaro Proscia was in the hand as well and had both of them covered.

Opponent: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Gennaro Proscia: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The flop was {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades} to keep Proscia in the lead but also put a flush draw out there. The {9-Spades} turn completed the nut flush for one of his opponents, but the hand wasn't over yet as it also gave Proscia a set and a possibility of a full house.

The dealer completed the board with the {7-Hearts} and the table erupted at the sight of the rollercoaster runout and the elimination of two players. Meanwhile, Proscia now appears to be the chip leader with over 2 million in chips.

Gardner's Cowboys Hold

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

John Gardner called an opponent's 200,000 preflop jam.

Opponent: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
John Gardner: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} to keep Gardner's kings ahead and send him the pot as another player has exited the tournament.

Mendez Flops Set of Aces Over Set of Kings

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Rigoberto Mendez got his stack of about 250,000 chips into the pot against an opponent preflop.

Rigoberto Mendez: {a-}{a-}
Opponent: {k-}{k-}

Mendez needed to fade a king to stay alive but a king appeared in the window as the dealer spread the {a-}{k-}{6-} flop. Luckily for him, he also was able to find an ace. The board ran out {9-}{3-} and his rockets survived the brief sweat.

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

John Gardner had a raise in front of him and three-bet to 200,000. His opponent jammed and Gardner called.

Opponent: {7-}{7-}
John Gardner: {k-}{k-}

The board ran out an uneventful {3-}{6-}{q-}{4-}{6-} as Gardner busted a player and took in the chips to become possibly the biggest stack at this point in the tournament.

Kerlin Flops Straight Flush

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Allen Kerlin
Allen Kerlin

Allen Kerlin recounted one of the hands that led to Tim Reilly's demise.

Tim Reilly min-raised in middle position and Allen Kerlin called in the hijack.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Kerlin called a bet. The turn was the {10-Spades} and both players checked to the {j-Clubs} river. On the river, Reilly check-jammed after Kerlin made a 90,000 bet and Kerlin called for his remaining 300,000 stack.

Reilly asked if he had jack-ten but instead, Kerlin flipped over the {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a flopped straight flush while Reilly mucked.
