Final Table Action

Zamorano entered the final day in the chip lead, followed by Switzerland's Samiyel Duzgun and Russia's Ruslan Bakhtiev. Players were 65 big blinds deep on average but this didn't stop some big action straight out of the door.

On the second hand of the final table, Comeron eliminated two players when his aces held strong against the kings held by Israel's Shlomi Shimoni (ninth - €13,200) and the jacks held by Ukraine's Vladyslav Pohribnyi (eighth - €16,400).

It took several hours for another elimination to take place when Comeron's aces held against Duzgen's eights. Duzgen went home with the seventh-place prize of €19,900, while Comeron skyrocketed into the chip lead.

Shortly after, Comeron eliminated the short-stacked Alexey Romanov in sixth place for €26,400 when his ace-jack held against king-five.

Next to go was Turkey's Seref Dursun Anar in fifth place for €35,200 in a hand that caused a discussion on the table when it was completed. Anar three-bet jammed a short-stack with king-jack and was called by Comeron with king-eight and by Zamorano with aces, who completed the action. Comeron and Zamorano checked down the {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board and the action was down to four players. Zamarano retook the chip lead after the hand.

Bakhtiev then hit the rail in fourth place for €47,400 when his suited big slick didn't get there against Comeron's kings. Comeron had the lead for the second time at the final table after the hand was in the books.

Iran's Milad Oghabian was then ousted in third place for €74,000 after he got his 30 big blinds in with a suited big slick and didn't get his hand to hold against king-queen suited.

Comeron entered heads-up play with a short chip lead but Zamorano was able to snag it back quickly during heads-up play. A short while later, the duo agreed to a deal with each player going home with €164,000. Zamorano had the lead at the time and was declared the official winner.

Milad Oghabian Eliminated in 3rd Place (€74,000)

Level 32 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Milad Oghabian
Milad Oghabian

Milad Oghabian opened for 2.2 million before David Comeron three-bet jammed more than covering the 30 big blinds his opponent had to start the hand. Oghabian snap-called and a crowd emerged.

David Comeron: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Milad Oghabian: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

It was looking like Oghabian would take the chip lead after the {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} came on the flop. However, the Spanish rail erupted after the {q-Spades} came on the turn to pair-up Comeron. The {9-Diamonds} came on the river and Oghabian was eliminated in third place for €74,000.

No heads-up deal was discussed and play resumed shortly after Oghabian headed to the cashier.

David Comeron opened the button for 2.2 million before Milad Oghabian jammed for 11 million from the big blind. Comeron snap called and turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and the race was on against the {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} held by Oghabian.

Oghabian's rail was shouting for the {8-Spades} and as fate would have it, it landed on the {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop.

"But there are hearts," said Obhabian perhaps nervous about a flush completing.

The {k-Diamonds} came on the turn followed by the {4-Spades} on the river and Oghabian doubled up.

David Comeron opened from the cutoff for 1.3 million before Ruslan Bakhtiev three-bet to 3.1 million from the button. Comeron four-bet jammed covering the around 18 million Bakhtiev had behind and got a call.

David Comeron: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Ruslan Bakhtiev: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades} ran out on the board and Bahktiev was eliminated in fourth place for €47,600.

Seref Dursun Anar Eliminated in 5th Place (€35,200)

Level 31 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Seref Dursun Anar
Seref Dursun Anar

Ruslan Bakhtiev opened to 1.3 million from the cutoff and Seref Dursun Anar defended from the big blind.

Anar check-called a bet of 1.1 million after the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Spades} came on the flop. Both players checked after the {10-Hearts} came on the turn. Anar then check-called a bet of 3 million after the {2-Clubs} completed the board on the river. Anar turned over {a-Spades}{3-Spades} and lost the hand with Bakhtiev holding {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

A little while later, Antonio Saez Zamorano opened to 1.2 million from under the gun. Anar jammed for 3.2 million from the button. David Comeron called from the small blind as did Zamorano.

Comeron and Zamorano checked down the {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board.

Anar turned over {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and was ahead of the {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} turned over by Comeron. However, Zamorano had {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} and won the hand.

There was some discussion at the table after the hand about Zamorano calling with aces preflop and checking down the board and Zamorano provided some reasoning.

Ruslan Doubles Off Zamorano

Level 30 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Bakhtiev Ruslan
Bakhtiev Ruslan

Antonio Saez Zamorano opened from under the gun for 1 million. The action folded to Ruslan Bakhtiev in the big blind and he three-bet jammed for 5.15 million.

Zamorano used a time bank ticket before he made the call.

Ruslan Bakhtiev: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Antonio Saez Zamorano: {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Bakhtiev flopped top pair with the {9-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Spades} hitting the board, while Zamorano had a gut-shot broadway straight draw. The {q-Hearts} came on the turn to pair up Zamorano but he was unable to improve further from there with the {6-Clubs} completing the board on the river.
