Big Stack Update

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Here is a look at some of the bigger stacks in the room.

Gvinadze Doubles Tokullu

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player opened for 3,500 and another called before Cumhur Tokullu raised to 12,000 with 69,000 behind in his stack. Davit Gvinadze was next to act, and he jammed for about 110,000.

The first two players that were in the hand folded and the action paused on Tokullu before he eventually called.

Davit Gvinadze: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Cumhur Tokullu: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Gvinadze improved a flip situation into an advantage in the hand as the {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} came on the flop followed by the {k-Hearts} on the turn.

"Oh no," said Gvinadze before he began shouting, "Deuce, Deuce, Deuce!"

The {a-Spades} completed the board on the river to give Tokullu a pair of aces and a double up.

"Nice hand," Gvinadze said to his opponent.

Gvinadze then extended his hand and Tokullu shook it before stacking his chips.

Bechstrom Chips Up

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Rolf Bechstrom is on his first bullet in the Main Event and he has been on a small ride. He shared during the dinner break that at the end of the last level he doubled up Elena Litvinyuk when he got his queen-deuce all-in against her queen-nine on a {q-}{9-}{2-} flop.

Bechstrom came back from the dinner break with about 35,000. He picked up the blinds before picking up more chips the following hand as follows.

Bechstrom opened from the hijack to 3,500 before Andrei Stonescu jammed from the button for 17,500. The stacks of Litvinyuk and Edgard Raffoul were in the small and big blind but neither player was back from break yet. Therefore the action was immediately back onto Bechstrom and he called.

Andrei Stonescu: {k-Spades}{5-Spades}
Rolf Bechstrom: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Bechstrom was ahead when the money got in and he felted his opponent as the {7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs} board blanked his opponent.

Rolf Bechstrom opened to 3,000 from the hijack. The action folded around to Elena Litvinyuk in the small blind.

"How much are you playing?" asked Litvinyuk.

"Not much as usual," replied Bechstrom as he pushed forward a small stack of around 22,000.

Litvinyuk called as did the player in the big blind.

All three players check after the {7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts} came on the flop. Litvinyuk led out for 5,000 after the {j-Hearts} came on the turn. The player in the big blind folded and Bechstrom called.

The {a-Spades} completed the board on the river and Litvunyik checked. Bechstrom jammed for 17,000.

"Nice river for you," said Litvunyik as she folded.

Bechstrom showed the river did help his hand as he turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Litvunyik showed that Bechstrom needed a queen or ace on the river flashing him the {j-Spades}.
