"I Was Worried About Him, Not You"

Level 8 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Hong Kong's Ka Kwan Lau is one of the more established players in the Main Event with nearly $1.5 million in live cashes. He just lost some chips in a hand, but it sounds like it could have been alot worse.

Lau opened to 4,500 from the hijack. Francesco Grande called from the small blind before Serge Attyasse jammed for 31,500 from the big blinds.

The action paused on Lau for a few minutes before he four-bet to 62,500. It then took Grande two minutes to act before he folded.

Serge Attyasse: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Ka Kwan Lau: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

"Oyyyy," said Grande in frustration. "I had tens."

The {5-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} flop gave Attyasse a set and his opponent needed to complete a backdoor straight draw to win the hand. Lau was drawing dead after the {k-Spades} came on the turn.

"Oyyyy," said Grande again.

"You would have lost the hand," said Attyasse at the {7-Diamonds} completed the board on the river to officially give the Frenchman the hand.

"I was worried about him, not you," responded Grande.

The {q-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} ran out on the board and Exadaktylou picked up the pot.

Trip Jacks for Korkmaz

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Serkan Atmaca bet 18,000 into a pot of around 40,000 with the {10-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{j-Diamonds} on the board before Koray Korkmaz jammed for about 110,000 in chips.

The action paused on Michelangelo Scalcione for several minutes before he made the call and Atmaca folded. Korkmaz turned over {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Scalcione shook his head in frustration after turning over {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}. The {7-Spades} completed the board on the river and Korkmaz won a bit hand.

Scalcione was left with under 20,000 after the hand and dusted the rest of his stack off soon after.

Meanwhile, at the same table, Marius Cristian has one of the bigger stacks in the room with 290,000 in chips.

Ribot Loses a Flip

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} ran out on the board and Ribot was on the losing end of the flip for all his chips.
