Day 1C Draws Biggest Crowd Yet as Two Players Bag Over a Million

Another huge crowd poured into Grosvenor Casino Coventry on Monday as 1,498 players took their shot in Day 1C of the 2025 GOLIATH.

That makes it the biggest flight so far, pushing the overall entries to 6,188 (inclusive of pre-registrants) and we’re still only halfway through the schedule.

After 18 levels of play, 115 players punched their ticket to Day 2, which takes place on Saturday and will play down to the final 10% of the overall field.

Topping the Day 1C chip counts were two anonymous players, listed as K H and A J M, who bagged 1,350,000 and 1,113,000 respectively. Both players enter Day 2 with over 100 big blinds and will be serious contenders if they maintain that momentum. Winston Edwards, Scott Brown, and John Hanley round out the top five, each bagging more than 700,000 chips.

Flight D already has over 470 players registered, and with the prize pool already surpassing £1 million, expectations are that it could reach £2 million by the time the cards are in the air for Day 2.
