Hardcastle Loses The Min In A Bizarre Aces Versus Kings Scenario

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jack Hardcastle
Jack Hardcastle

After Duc Cao limped in from early position, Jack Hardcastle raised to 8,000. It folded back to Cao and he made the call.

On a flop of {j-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, Hardcastle bet 6,000 after Cao checked, the call was made setting up a turn.

A {q-Spades} turn got a check-call again from Cao, after Hardcastle bet 22,000.

When a {5-Diamonds} completed the board, Cao checked and Hardcastle fired 54,000. Cao's response was going deep into the tank, rubbing his forehead, with a pained frown painted across his face.

Ultimately Cao decided to call as Hardcastle happily turned over {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}. Cao then flipped over none other than {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} as he got a look of befuddlement from Hardcastle as he raked the pot in.

Ashraf Grows His Lead, Gaurav Busts a Player

Level 12 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

In hand number one, Waheed Ashraf had raised from the hijack and Gupta Gaurav had called from the small before Migle Kriksciunaite completed from the big blind.

On a {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs} flop, with 12,000 in the pot, Ashraf continue bet when checked to to the tune of 5,000. Just Gaurav called setting up a {3-Hearts} turn. Ashraf didn't slow down, betting 7,000 when checked to again. This time the pressure folded out Gaurav.

In the very next hand, the under-the-gun player moved all in for 15,200 and Gaurav re-jammed when it folded to him, for 30,600. The big blind did go into the tank but ultimately folded.

UTG: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Gupta Gaurav: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} to give back what Gaurav had lost in the last pot.

Cao Fought the Law but the Law Won

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Duc Cao had limp called from the cutoff only to be raised by Dan Laidlaw on the button to 6,000.

Cao made the call and checked to Laidlaw on {2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Laidlaw checked it back.

When a {5-Clubs} turn fell and Cao checked again, Laidlaw was done with the checking and fired 9,000. Cao didn't take too long to muck his holding, giving Laidlaw the pot.

Broadbent Takes His Exit

Level 11 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After Kuljinder Sidhu opened from early position, Noel Broadbent moved all in for his last 24,000 chips and Sidhu snapped off once everyone else got out of the way.

Noel Broadbent: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Kuljinder Sidhu: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The {j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} meant Sidhu's hand held up and gave him the knockout on Broadbent.
