Brown Busts Pupillo

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Nick Pupillo opened for 800 in early position, and Bobby Brown made it 3,200 to go. The small blind cold-called, and Pupillo called. On the {8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop, Pupillo dropped his last 2,525 in, and Brown raised to 7,500. The small blind folded.

"King's good," Brown said, showing {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.

Pupillo had merely a gutterball, {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. He turned more outs as the {4-Hearts} gave him a double-gutshot, but the river bricked out.

Pupillo In, Moneymaker Back In

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Nick Pupillo has joined the field, and Chris Moneymaker busted out on the last hand before break and reentered. We were told Moneymaker fell to a player who made jacks full.

Pupillo has been on a tear mostly through the Midwest, cashing for about $200,000, since earning $99,981 in the Monster Stack at last year's WSOP.

"I'm the Worst Player Here"

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Charles Maxcy check-called a bet of roughly 5,000 on a board of {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}, and he checked to the cutoff again on the {6-Spades} river. The player fired 6,400, and Maxcy tossed in a call after about 30 seconds. The cutoff indicated he couldn't win, and Maxcy slapped down {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}.

"I'm the worst player here," he declared as he swept up the pot.

Franciosi Ousts Two

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
John Franciosi
John Franciosi

We found a player all in for 3,025 in middle position, with the big blind having reraised to 6,025. That wasn't enough for John Franciosi, who wanted to play for more, putting the big blind all in for about 16,000. The player called off.

Franciosi: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Big blind: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Middle position: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Three pairs went to the flop, and it was Franciosi finding a set as {9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} hit the board. The {7-Clubs} turn ended runner-runner hopes for the shorter stacks, and Franciosi has shot out ahead of the field.

Olney Fades a Draw

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

From the button, Dale Olney put a big blind opponent at risk for 6,025 on an {8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop.

Olney: {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Olney had flopped two pair and was fading a combo draw, and the {4-Hearts} turn and {6-Spades} river left the eights up best.
