Pupillo Takes Another Round from Grise

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante
Nick Pupillo
Nick Pupillo

Nick Pupillo and Ben Grise went to war once more as Pupillo opened for a raise and called a Grise three-bet to 7,500, seeing a {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop. Both players checked, and Pupillo bet 6,000 on the {3-Spades} turn. Grise raised to 13,000. Pupillo came back with 20,000.

"Is that enough for a raise?" Grise asked. The dealer confirmed it was, and Grise called.

Pupillo plopped down 25,000 on the {6-Spades} river.

"You got an eight?" Grise asked as he called.

Pupillo silently flipped {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

"That was evil," Grise said as he showed {a-Hearts}. "Easy game for you."

Big Pupillo Raise Perplexes Grise

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Nick Pupillo raised to 3,500 on the button and then called a three-bet to 10,000 from Ben Grise in the big blind. Both players checked the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop, and Grise bet 6,500 on the {2-Spades} turn. Pupillo slid out 34,500, a massive raise.

"Is that all in?" Grise asked, leaning forward. Seeing Pupillo had about 30,000 more behind he seemed perplexed.

"Why so much?" he asked as he thought things over before eventually folding. "Pick one."

Pupillo declined.

"You don't want to see?" Grise pressed.

Another player flipped over the {2-Diamonds}.

Enders Checks Back and Gets There

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

A player opened for 3,500 in the cutoff, and Casey Enders made it 8,500 on the button. The cutoff called, and he check-called 12,000 on the {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{k-Hearts} flop. Both players checked the {q-Hearts}, and a {10-Clubs} hit the river. Two more checks, and the cutoff opened {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for top two. Enders held {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for a straight.

The cutoff swore at the bad river before noting even leading out wouldn't have won him the pot, as Enders had the {a-Hearts}.

Players are on a 15-minute break.

Steele's Jack-High Good

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Patrick Steele
Patrick Steele

A player opened for 2,000 under the gun and Patrick Steele made it 5,300 on the button. The first player tanked awhile and then shoved all in for about 25,000, and Steele quickly called.

"That's not good," the player said, turning up {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

Steele showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

"Wow," the player said. "What's he doing with jack-high?"

The hand led though, and Steele took complete command as {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} flopped. The {7-Spades} turn gave his opponent a sweat, but a {q-Clubs} river gave Steele a straight.

Grise Wheeling Onward

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

With a player in the small blind already all in, Ben Grise bet 6,000 under the gun and got a call from Mike Senneff on a {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} board. Grise bet 11,000 more on the {2-Hearts} river, and Senneff called.

Grise showed {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a wheel. The dealer turned up the other two hands, per tournament rules, and Senneff had what looked like two tens, while the all-in played had {j-}{7-}.

Eldridge Busts Lamphere

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Adam Lamphere
Adam Lamphere

Ben Grise opened to 2,500 in the hijack, and David Eldridge reraised to 5,100 on the button. Adam Lamphere cold four-bet to 12,200 in the small blind, and Grise thought awhile before mucking. Eldridge put Lamphere all in for about 56,000 total, and Lamphere quickly called.

Lamphere: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Eldridge: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Lamphere fell miles behind as {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} flopped to give Eldridge trips, and he filled up to lock up the win on the {k-Spades} turn.
