Reynolds Hanging Around

Level 8 : 300/600, 50 ante

Josh Reynolds has been nursing a short stack for a good part of the day. On this hand, he picked up some chips when he rivered a full house.

There wasn't too much action on this hand, but Reynolds was in the small blind when Mike Truman limped from the cutoff. Reynolds called and Jaing checked his option.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and the action checked around to Truman. He bet 1,000 and both Jaing and Reynolds called. The turn was the {5-Clubs} and all three players checked. Reynolds led when the {k-Spades} came on the river and Truman called.

Reynolds won the pot with {k-}{6-} and took down the pot.

Childs Can't Catch Up

Lee Childs had about 8,000 chips left and got all in against the pocket queens of David Jaing. Childs had {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and flopped a pair, but couldn't get any closer than that and was eliminated.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and the big blind checked again. This time, Moore bet 4,000 and the big blind called.

The river was the {q-Clubs} and it was check-call again as Moore made it 5,000. He showed {8-Spades}{6-Spades} for a turned flush and took down the pot.

Keating Up

Level 8 : 300/600, 50 ante

Jim Keating picked up a few chips on this recent hand. A player in middle position raised to 1,500 and Keating called along with one other player.

The flop was {7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Hearts} and the preflop raiser c-bet 2,000. Both Keating and the other player called. The turn paired the board with the {8-Diamonds} and the action checked to Keating on the button. He bet 4,000 and neither player decided to tangle with him and they both quickly folded.

Defending Champ Looking to Improve

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Loukas Michael is the defending HPO Charles Town Regional Main Event champion. He just sat down again, and is in the seat he started the day in. To his left is Ken Moore, the player he beat last year for the title.

On this hand, Michael was able to pressure Mike Jukich out of the hand. Three players saw a limped flop of {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{k-Spades}. The action checked to Jukich who bet 2,200. One player folded and Michael shoved all in for 17,900. Jukich took a few moments to decide his next move, but elected to fold.
