Will Wins Three Way All In

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Gerald Will got all in three ways with Mike Kennedy and Kwynn Richards.

The flop was {8-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Will had a set of eights, holding {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Richards and Kennedy were both on flush draws. Richards had the better draw with {a-Spades}{q-Spades} and Kennedy had {4-Spades}{5-Spades}.

Kennedy was standing up and walking to the door as the dealer finished the board. He put out the turn and river, {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Will would win the main pot.

Kennedy, who was about 6 feet away from the table found out he managed to win and stay in the tournament thanks to the {4-Diamonds} on the river giving him a pair to beat Richards for the side pot.

Instead of being busted, Kennedy was sitting at 22,800. Richards was left very short and would get all in within two hands.

Phillips The Return

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Steve Phillips
Steve Phillips

Steve Phillips entered Day 1a right at the end of late registration last night. He won his seat in a satellite and wasn't sure if he should late register or wait until Day 1b. He ended up joining Day 1a, but busted close to the end of the night when he got all in with two pair against a player with pocket kings. A king came on the river and ended Phillips day.

So what did Phillips do next? He returned today to the Hollywood Casino in Columbus and played another satellite. He won another seat to the main event and has just sat down to take that seat.
