Landherr Triples Up

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Jeff Landherr just got all in with pocket sevens against two players with {a-}{k-}.

Steve Telle had just a few more chips and William Haner had both covered by a lot.

Landherr opened the action, shoving all in preflop and Telle followed suit. Haner called and the three players showed their hands. Landherr held {7-}{7-} against the {a-}{k-} of both Telle and Haner.

Landherr flopped a full house and would triple up. The hand left Telle with just over 5,000

Haner Gets the Best of Bogert, Three Times

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Cory Bogert has gotten the short end of the stick three times against William Haner.

  • Hand #1: The two players were heads up on the river and Bogert bet 30,000 on a board reading {10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Haner debated his next move and then reluctantly called with pocket kings, thinking he was up against aces. He was happy to see Bogert was bluffing and didn't show his hand as he threw it toward the muck.
  • Hand #2: Haner raised from middle position and Bogert defended the big blind. There was only one bet and a call on the flop, before both players checked it down to the river. Haner showed {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} on a board of {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Bogert seemed to roll his eyes as he sent his cards into the muck yet again.
  • Hand #3: The board read {4-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Haner put a river bet of 4,000. Bogert decided not to call and for a third time, his hand hit the muck and his chips hit Haner's stack.

Moneymaker Over 100,000 in One Level

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Chris Moneymaker continued his good run when he got all in against Nelson Bernal behind.

Moneymaker had {9-}{9-} against the {j-}{j-} of Bernal.

On the turn, Moneymaker had a gut-shot straight, {6-}{7-}{k-}{5-}.

"I'm sorry," said Moneymaker, assuming he was going to get there.

When the {9-Spades} hit the river, he did get there with a set of nines instead of the straight. Either way it was good enough to send Bernal home and give Moneymaker even more chips.

In a little more than a level, Chris Moneymaker has eliminated three people and taken his 20,000 starting stack to almost 120,000.
