With around 9,000 in the pot and a board reading ![]()

, Allan Stum checked and Lee Childs, who has won two preliminary events at the HPO Grantville Regional Championship, bet 3,300. Stum woke up with a check-raise to 8,300, Childs called, and the
completed the board on the river.
Stum returned to checking, and Childs took the opportunity to move all in for 13,125. Stum gave it some thought, but eventually released his hand.

Nick Liddell has been nursing a shorter stack for the past few levels, and he recently decided to commit it from the button holding the ![]()
. Peter Kaemmerlen was in the big blind and ended up making the call with ![]()
.
Liddell picked up a flush draw on the flop, but he was left wanting as both the turn and river blanked. Liddell exited in 17th place while Kaemmerlen continued his heater and chipped up to over 60K.

Chris Moneymaker attempted to raise preflop, but he didn't put out enough. That meant he was forced to call, and that inspired Jerry Wagner to limp in. It also allowed Xiaowei Lu to see a the ![]()
![]()
flop for free from the big blind.
The betting escaped us, but we do know that Jerry Wagner got his chips all in holding ![]()
for a flopped straight and was up against the ![]()
for Lu. Wagner got it in good, but he failed to hold as Lu made his flush.
Meanwhile, Barry Weyandt was eliminated from the tournament.

We're down to 19 players, which means just one more needs to bust before we're down to the final two tables. Despite being short handed at each table, the players have been playing fairly snug thus far in Level 8. That should change sooner rather than later.
After some players put in 1,200 preflop to see a flop of ![]()
![]()
, Dennis Adams bet 2,200 and Jason Thomas called. The
turn saw Adams check-call a bet of 2,200, and then he checked for a second time on the
river.
A raising war broke out between the two which resulted in Adams getting his stack all in holding ![]()
for rivered trips. Unfortunately for him, Thomas had turned a full house with ![]()
to win the robust pot.
"The guy I can't beat has all the chips," Chris Moneymaker said after the hand.
