Moon Shot by Wichers

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Chris Moon found himself down to his last 4,100 after posting the big-blind ante and had his option after an early position player had limped in and Jeff Wichers had limped behind from middle position.

Moon shoved all in and both players called. The dealer announced that

Rocha Wins on River

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

There was close to 9,000 in the pot on a flop of {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Tai Nguyen checked in early position to put action on Nick Pupillo in the cutoff. He bet 2,700 and was called by Alex Rocha on the cutoff. Nguyen folded.

The turn came {8-Hearts} and both players checked. The dealer then burned and turned the river {10-Diamonds} and Pupillo checked again. Rocha bet 8,000 and Pupillo thought for a bit, looking back at his cards before sending them to the muck.

Wahdan Back and Playing Games

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Nader Wahdan
Nader Wahdan

The player in the cutoff limped and Nader Wahdan raised to 1,600 from the button. The big blind called, as did the cutoff, and the flop came {6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Action checked to Wahdan who made a continuation-bet of 3,500. The big blind called and the cutoff got out of their way, bringing the turn {9-Diamonds}. The big checked and Wahdan fired another barrel for 6,500.

The big blind went into the tank, thinking for quite some time. Wahdan sat still before calmly rolling a few chips across the felt from one hand to the other before resuming his still posture. After around two minutes, the big blind folded.

Wahdan tabled {7-Hearts}{2-Spades} for the seven-deuce, stirring up a decent reaction from the table. A few players joked, saying they didn't realize that they were playing the seven-deuce game.

Wahdan laughed with them, adding that it was the only way he could win. The big blind acknowledged the bet, saying he was drawing anyways. Wahdan confirmed that he did not mean to show his opponent up and that it truly was the only way he was ever going to win the pot since his hand surely would not have been good at showdown.

Visher Gets a Warm Welcome

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

A player in early position threw in a yellow, T$1,000 chip and announced a raise. Dapo Ajayi was on his left and called, as did another player in middle position. Barb Visher, who had just sat down and was dealt her first hand of the tournament, three-bet to 5,100. The player on the button proceeded to cold four-bet to 16,000.

All three players in between folded and action was back on Visher, who wasted no time announcing she was all in. The player on the button quickly called.

"Woot, woot, woot!" said Visher as she turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}.

Her opponent showed {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. "That's alright. Here comes a jack right on the flop," he said.

The flop did not comply, coming {4-Spades}{q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. The turn then fell {9-Clubs}.

"On the river," the player amended.

He was wrong again as the river came {9-Hearts} and Visher earned a double up on her first hand of the day.

"I won't play another hand for an hour now, don't worry," she said as she stacked her chips.

Prom Hits Straight Versus Cowboys

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

A player raised to 900 from under the gun and saw calls from Ben Jensen in early position, Phanora Prom in the small blind, and the player in the big blind. All four players saw a flop of {j-Spades}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and action checked to the original raiser who fired a continuation-bet of 2,300 into the middle. Jensen and Prom called and the big blind folded.

The turn came {8-Clubs} and Prom checked. The under-the-gun player fired a second barrel of 6,000 and Jensen called. Prom then put in a check-raise to 16,200 and the under-the-gun player immediately shoved for around 32,000. Jensen folded and Prom called.

Phanora Prom: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Opponent: {k-}{k-}

Prom had hit a straight, leaving his opponent's pair of kings drawing dead as the river {q-Clubs} fell and he was eliminated from the tournament.
