Blumenfield Eliminated by Peck; Sater Sent Home

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

According to Austin Peck, the hand he just knocked out Neil Blumenfield on started with the under-the-gun player folding {q-Spades}{10-Spades} and having it be exposed. Peck then opened on the button to 85,000 and Neil Blumenfield three-bet to 200,000. Peck asked for confirmation and Blumenfield realized he had put out that amount when he had intended to three-bet to 300,000. Peck made the call.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Blumenfield continued for 250,000. Peck called. The turn came {j-Clubs} and Blumenfield shoved all in for 495,000. Peck made the call again.

Neil Blumenfield: {a-}{9-}
Austin Peck: {k-}{8-}

Blumenfield was unable to hit an ace or a nine on the river and was eliminated in 19th place just moments after Jason Sater was eliminated on another table.

Berger's Aces Cracked

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
David Berger
David Berger

The second time pocket aces were shown down on Table 6 just marked the second time they were cracked. David Berger was in the process of shaking hands with a few tablemates who had wished him a good game while they marveled at how the last two eliminations occurred on their table.

On this occasion, Berger's {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} was defeated by Holland's {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} on a board of {6-Hearts}{9-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. Holland later shared that he had opened to 80,000 and Berger three-bet to 200,000. Holland peeled and stacks got in on the flop when Holland was open-ended. He then turned a flush draw to go with it and filled up on both when the river came, sending Berger home in the first level after the dinner break.

David Levy
David Levy

David Levi was down to his last 100,000 and ripped it in from the hijack. Igor Leshchinskiy called from the cutoff and Austin Peck three-bet to 300,000 from the button. Both blinds folded, as did Leshchinskiy.

David Levi: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Austin Peck: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

In Levi's third all-in situation since the redraw, he finally found himself in a situation where he was behind. He was unable to improve as the board ran out {j-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Meanwhile, both Roger Low and Jamie Collins were eliminated at an adjacent table in short succession.

Levi Doubles Through Tryba

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

David Levi saw action folded to him in middle position and he shoved all in for 291,000. Chris Tryba went all in over the top of him from the small blind to take it to the runout.

David Levi: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Chris Tryba: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The flop came {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to give Tryba an open-ended straight draw but the turn {4-Diamonds} and river {q-Hearts} landed him a pair of queens to Levi's Broadway as he wished Levi a nice hand and paid him off.
