Welcome Back to Day 2 of the HPT Lawrenceburg Main Event

HPT Lawrenceburg
HPT Lawrenceburg

The starting flights have wrapped up and now it's time for the players to battle it out for a prizepool of over $500,000. There will be 86 players returning for Day 2 of the Heartland Poker Tour $1,100 Main Event at the Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg just outside of Cincinnati.

Leading the field is local recreational player David Keller who accumulated a whopping stack of 516,000 chips on Day 1c. Keller was fortunate enough to pick up big hands in key spots and managed to make the most of them. However, he will have a lot of work to do today with many big names barking at his heels.

Ronnie Day (492,000) and Jake Bazeley (455,000) also bagged on Day 1c and round out the top three overall stacks. Bazeley may be the most notable name entering Day 2 with over $4.3 million in career earnings and will have a real shot at adding another six-figure score to his resume. A few other names to keep an eye on throughout the day include Mike Hahn (445,000), Timothy Burden (417,000), Joey Hiudt (314,000), and Nick Pupillo (183,000).

The action will get underway at 11am EST with just over 20 eliminations away from the money. There will be 63 places getting paid with a min-cash being worth $1,905. The blinds will resume at 2,500/5,000 with a 5,000 big blind ante and will continue to be 40 minutes in length. There will be a break after every two levels today and the action will continue until the final table of nine is reached.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the tournament floor to bring you all of the live updates throughout the day so keep it locked here to see who will reach the final nine.
