Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Chuck Scaglione
Chuck Scaglione

Chris Meyers opened for 6,500 under the gun and Chuck Scaglione called on the button. On the {6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop, Meyers bet 7,000 and Scaglione called. Meyers bet 15,000 more on the {7-Spades} and Scaglione again called. On the {4-Hearts} river, Meyers bet 17,500. Scaglione tanked about a minute then verbalized a call.

"Good call," Meyers said showing {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for ace-high.

Scaglione showed {5-Hearts}{4-Spades} for fours on the river.

"Wanted to be the hero the whole time and you finally got the chance," Meyers said with a smile.

"I just figured you put me on diamonds," Scaglione responded.

Three Streets for Pickup

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Kyle Stapleton limped under the gun and called 13,000 from Jason Pickup in middle position. The board ran out {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Spades}, with Stapleton check-calling 10,000 then 20,000 and finally 50,000.

"Let's see it," he said as he slid in chips to match the last bet.

Pickup revealed {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a full house and scooped the huge pot.

Krency Doubles Through Callahan

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Keith Callahan opened for 7,000 under the gun and then called when Doug Krency shoved in the big blind.

Keith Callahan: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Doug Krency: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The {9-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} flop favored Krency with top pair and the {8-Hearts} turn and {2-Clubs} river were bricks, leaving Callahan shaking his head. He had to send over 92,400.

"You have a volatile style, Doug," someone commented.

On a {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop, Chris Meyers checked from the big blind and Lauren Schroeder made a roughly pot-sized bet of 8,000. Meyers jammed for what turned out to be 34,700 after Schroeder got the count. That was enough to induce a fold.

Callahan Trending Up Again

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Doug Krency limped in middle position, Keith Callahan made it 12,000, and Michael Iannace called in the small blind. Krency made it three to {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{j-Spades} and he was the only caller of Callahan's 16,000 continuation-bet. On the {6-Diamonds} turn, Krency fired out 25,000 and Callahan instantly shoved for around 60,000. Krency folded in short order.

"Finally had you beat," Callahan said.

"I don't think you had a jack."

Callahan claimed to have held kings and Krency said he had "a pair with an ace."
