Day 1c Completed
The final flight of HPT The Meadows $1,100 Main Event has concluded and 28 players have bagged and advanced from the 197 who played today, the largest field of the three by a wide margin. Andy Spears bagged the chip lead for the day and the entire tournament with a massive 526,000.
Spears was in control the entire day, steadily building his stack without much resistance. He found his way up to 100,000 by the dinner break, playing and winning a lot of smaller pots. As the blinds got bigger, so did his stack as he found himself with 180,000 midway through Level 11. By the last break, he was up to 270,000, which he almost doubled in the last two hours of play.
Spears looks to claim his first HPT title, though the spotlight is nothing new to him. With over $1.3 million in live winnings, several tournament victories, and numerous high stakes final tables under his belt, he is one of the favorites in the field as the three heats will combine to one field in the morning.
In addition to Spears, Christopher Lee (479,500) and Anthony McIe (390,500) also bagged larger stacks than Jason Pickup (387,500) the chip leader after the first two flights. Other notable players to advance included Stan Jablonski (167,500) and Iverson Cotton Snuffer (193,000).
Some players who did not advance from the final heat of the tournament were Nick Pupillo, Andy Rubinberg, DJ MacKinnon, and Mikey Esquivel.
Day 2 will resume tomorrow at 11 am local time and will be played upstairs in the poker room. Players will play down to the final table, which will be played and live streamed on Monday. The PokerNews team will be on the floor for all the action, so come back for updates for the rest of the tournament.

Joining action on the turn in a heads up pot with a board of Anthony McIe had checked to his opponent, Sean Connell, who bet 38,000 into a pot of around 45,000. McIe check-raised to 90,000 and Connell thought for a bit before making the call. The river was the and McIe went all in for around 120,000. After some time in the tank, Connell made the fold.
A few hands later, McIe was in a pot on the button versus the cutoff on the turn. The board read and the cutoff bet 16,000 into a pot of around 50,000. McIe made the call, and the river came . The cutoff checked and McIe cut out a bet of 75,000, which was around two-thirds of his opponent's stack. The cutoff spent around two minutes in the tank before announcing a call and putting his chips in.
McIe tabled for the turned full house, to which his opponent promptly sent his cards into the muck.

Christopher Lee bet 15,000 on from early position and both Stan Jablonski in the hijack and Frank Dellaria in the cutoff called. Lee checked the turn and Jablonski bet 25,000. Dellaria called, but Jablonski only had about 18,000 back. Clearly expecting the all-in shove on the river, Dellaria held his chips over the pot as Jablonski shoved while the river was delivered. Dellaria called and Jablonski showed .
Dellaria showed and the river wasn't a jack so he sent over a double.
