Welcome to Day 1c of the HPT The Meadows Main Event
The third and final flight of HPT The Meadows $1,100 Main Event is upon us.
Like Day 1b, Day 1c is scheduled for a noon start. There's still work to be done for the tournament to hit the $250,000 guarantee, as there have been 148 entries logged through the first two days, meaning a little over 100 are still needed in order to make the number.
As far as the happenings through those first two starting days, 28 players have booked spots in Day 2, with 387,500 from Day 1a's Jason Pickup remaining the high mark after Jimmy Stevens and Dan Wagner both bagged a little shy of that on Day 1b.
Day 1c will see entrants once again given 30,000 starting stacks with the option of unlimited reentry in the event things go south. Levels will be 40 minutes long with 15 scheduled for the day, along with a one-hour dinner break and 15-minute breaks after every two levels.
Notable players like Nick Pupillo, Andy Spears, DJ MacKinnon and Adam Friedman have tried their luck and failed in one or both of the first two starting days, so we expect to see some of them take further cracks at finding a bag here on Day 1c. PokerNews will be on hand to document their successes or failures along with those of the rest of the runners as the third starting day develops starting at noon.
