Flush For North Dakota's Schmiess

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The complete {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts} board was already on the felt, and the big blind had a bet of 7,000 out in front of him. Barry Schmiess raised to 14,000, and the big blind eventually folded.

"You didn't mean to do that," Brad Sailor told Schmiess, and Schmiess revealed {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} from his hand for a runner-runner flush.

"Oh, yeah you did!" Sailor remarked as Schmiess raked in the pot to crest the six-figure marker.

Casement Gets Paid With the Nuts

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Jim Casement

Four players limped in to see a {2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop together, and the big blind bet 3,000. Jim Casement called in early position, as did Bradley Beetz on the button, while the small blind folded.

The {k-Clubs} fell on the turn, and everyone checked. The big blind bet 5,000 on the {5-Spades} river, and Casement clicked it up to 10,000. Beetz folded, and the big blind said, "Ah, Jim..."

He eventually flicked in the chip to call, only to muck after Casement revealed {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Multi-Way Pot Goes to Campbell

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Roger Campbell raised to 3,000 from the hijack, and was called by Tom Koral in the cutoff, Edward Blazer in the small blind, and Sachin Chopra in the big blind.

The {4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop was checked to Campbell, who bet 6,500. Koral called, Blazer folded, and Chopra called.

Chopra checked the {k-Clubs} turn to Campbell, who bet another 6,500. Koral and Chopra both called.

The {9-Spades} river saw Chopra lead out for 15,000, and Campbell announced, "All in," for his last 65,000. Koral folded, and Chopra quickly followed suit.

Smooth Sailing For a Sailor Double

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Brad Sailor

In a multi-way pot, action checked to the button on a {5-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Diamonds} flop, and he bet 5,000. Action folded back to Brad Sailor in the hijack, who check-raised to 13,000. The button called.

The {9-Diamonds} fell on the turn, and Sailor jammed for 23,700. The button called.

Brad Sailor: {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Sailor's bottom two pair were in the lead, and he also held a flush draw that blocked some of the button's outs. The {3-Clubs} river was safe for Sailor, and he shipped the double.

From Worst to First For Lay

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player opened to 3,600 from early position, and the cutoff called. Robert Lay three-bet shoved for 38,000, the early position player called off his last 36,000, and the cutoff tanked for a few minutes before calling off his last 30,400.

Early Position: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Cutoff: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Robert Lay: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The {7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop missed everyone, but the {j-Diamonds} turn propelled Lay into the lead. The {6-Spades} river bricked off, and Lay celebrated his double knockout by standing up and cheering, while both of his opponents were eliminated.
