Hamm Gets Lucky and Doubles

Clayton Hamm had shoved all in from early position and been called by Rich Monroe in middle position before Danny Gonzales went over the top of Monroe, putting him to a decision for his tournament life. With action back on Monroe, he let his hand go and Hamm and Gonzales tabled their cards.

Hamm was at risk for his tournament life and way behind Gonzales' kings with his big slick. The flop was of no help to him, coming . However, the turn gave him just the card he needed to pull ahead, though the nine remaining clubs and one remaining king in the deck would still spell elimination. He faded them all as the river came to secure the double.
