Pease Busts Two

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

A player jammed for 5,500 from middle position, and the cutoff moved her last 33,000 in as well. Justin Pease four-bet shoved for 50,000 from the button, chasing out the blinds.

Middle Position: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Cutoff: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Justin Pease: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Pease improved a little on the {6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop, and the {7-Diamonds} turn brought chop outs for all three players. The {a-Hearts} river gave Pease aces-up and the double KO.

Jungmann Doubles Through Pupillo

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The big blind checked an {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop to Nick Pupillo, who bet 7,000 into a pot of 18,000 from under the gun. Steven Jungmann jammed for 68,500 from the hijack, and after the big blind folded, Pupillo called.

Steven Jungmann: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Nick Pupillo: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Jungmann's top two pair held for the double after the {j-Clubs} turn and {8-Hearts} river failed to bring Pupillo a king or running Broadway cards.

Coliny Takes Last Hand at Table 46

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Kyle Cartwright raised to 4,000 from under the gun, and was called by the hijack, Justin Coliny in the cutoff, and the big blind.

Action checked to the hijack on an {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, and he bet 17,000. Coliny was the only caller.

The hijack checked the {9-Clubs} turn, and Coliny announced, "All in," putting the hijack to the test for his last 69,000. The hijack tanked for two minutes, at one point flashing the {j-Clubs} from his hand, prompting a warning from the Tournament Director. The clock was eventually called, and the hijack folded {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs} face-up, while the table broke immediately after the hand.

Thirty-six players remain here on Day 1b of HPT St. Louis, and play is scheduled to conclude with 9:46 remaining in Level 14, or when 18 players remain, whichever comes first.

Nelson Avoids Disaster; Haverner Left With Crumbs

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Ian Nelson
Ian Nelson

After a raise from Ian Nelson under the gun, Don Havener three-bet to 15,000 in the small blind. Mark Koeln called in the big blind, and Nelson four-bet jammed for 131,700. Havener called and Koeln folded.

Ian Nelson: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Don Havener: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Koeln sprung up from the table after the {7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop fell, while Havener could only watch as the {9-Spades} turn and {7-Spades} river failed to save him from the ultimate cooler.

"I had quad sevens, swear to God!" Koeln told the table after the hand, while Havener sent all but almost five big blinds of his stack over to Nelson. Havener would bust a short time later.
