Foley Drops Two on the River

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The flop showed {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and three players had all of their chips in the middle with Michael Foley holding the biggest stack as he had his opponents at risk.

Opponent: {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Opponent: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Michael Foley: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

The turn came down a {7-Hearts} and Foley needed to catch to take down the pot. A {9-Spades} river did just that for Foley as he landed his straight, shipping the whole pot to him and both of his opponents took a walk.

The late registration and rebuy period has now completed. A total of 214 runners showed up for the last flight, catapulting the total over the three total flights to 445.

The 445 registration slips accumulated a total prize pool of $431,650, with 45 players seeing a payday of at least $2,355 for a min-cash. An eventual winner will be taking home the lion's share of the prize pool worth $98,476 and a $3,500 Championship package.

Borras Finds Fortuitous River

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The turned board read {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} when a player shoved all in against Martin Borras. After a moment Borras called, tabling {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} for an overpair of kings but was very behind when his opponent tabled {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for a set of ladies.

Borras stood up as the dealer burned, and just as soon as the dealer peeled over the {k-Clubs} Borras let out some yells of excitement. Borras nailed the {k-Clubs} on the river to take down the pot and now has one of the biggest stacks in the room.
