Murphy Shows Aces In Four-Bet Pot

Level 10 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Peter Murphy raised to 2,700 from middle position and Brendan Hyland three-bet to 10,000. Murphy four-bet to 30,000 and Hyland went into the tank, looking across at his opponent, who was casually sipping a bottle of water.

"Will you show if I fold?", asked Hyland before making the fold.

Murphy did show, flipping over {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

Final Break of the Day

Level 9 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The end of the day approaches as the players leave for their last 20-minute break of the day. When they come back they will play one more 60-minute level before the bagging and the tagging commences.

Bull Smashes It

Level 9 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Robert Bull raised from the cutoff and got called by Keith Littlewood and Panteleimon Pontos in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and action checked to Bull, who bet 2,000. Pontos made the call.

The turn was the {5-Clubs}. Pontos checked and Bull bet 7,400. Pontos went into the tank and then reraised to 19,000. Bull wasn't going to let it go and pushed the rest of his stack into the middle. Pontos was forced to fold and Bull took the pot.

Beresford Triples in Otherworldly Clash

Level 9 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Conor Beresford
Conor Beresford

PokerNews got called over to Table 10 as it appeared there was some big action going on. On arrival, there were over 135,000 chips already in the middle before any community cards were dealt, with Conor Beresford being all in from the small blind for roughly 45,000. Big blind Boris Otel had called and the action was on Duc Quy Nguyen on the button, who elected to do the same.

On the {2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop Otel moved in for his remaining 36,000 chips and Nguyen let out a big sigh before he called, putting Otel at risk as well. All three holdings were shown to the crowd that had gathered around the table.

Conor Beresford: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Boris Otel: {7-Spades}{3-Spades}
Duc Quy Nguyen: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Beresford was crushing his competition with the flopped top pair and locked up the triple-up as the turn {5-Hearts} and river {j-Hearts} were put out.

Otel won the side pot with his pair of sevens, and miraculously no one busted in what has to be one of the biggest pots of the day.

Parsons Three-Bets and Chips Up

Level 9 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Tom Parsons
Tom Parsons

Stribor Gruicic had raised from the button with a single T-5000 chip to an unknown amount. Paddy Power Pro Tom Parsons was in the small blind and made it 7,000 to go. After inquiring about Parsons' stack, Gruicic made the call.

On the {9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop Parsons bet 4,000, an amount Gruicic deemed worthy enough to call. The {8-Clubs} turn saw both players check.

On the {2-Clubs} river Parsons elected to put his entire stack at risk, for a big overbet of 34,200. This was evidently too much for Guicic, who did not have to think long before passing his cards to the dealer.

Beltz Outdraws and Busts Spragg

Level 8 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Wouter Beltz
Wouter Beltz

Daryl McAleenan opened his button for 1,500 and got called by both blinds Benjamin Spragg and Wouter Beltz.

The {j-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop saw plenty of action. It all started with Spragg and Beltz checking to McAleenan, who continuation-bet for 2,000. Spragg called and Beltz squeezed in a raise to 7,000. This got rid of McAleenan and sent Spragg into the tank.

When Spragg emerged he decided to go all-in with his stack of roughly 25,500. Beltz snap called, covering Spragg, and their holdings were revealed.

Benjamin Spragg: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Wouter Beltz: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Spragg was ahead but Beltz had a plethora of outs to choose from. One of them hit the turn with the {3-Diamonds} being dealt, and that instantly sealed Spragg's fate.

The meaningless {q-Spades} rolled off on the river and Beltz started stacking Spragg's chips, almost disappointed he did not get to play more hands with the PokerStars Ambassador.
