Mooney Eliminated In Three-Way All in

Level 4 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
John Mooney
John Mooney

In what would become an action packed pot, Christopher Day raised from under the gun to 600 and was called by Farid Fawzi. Ian Marmion reraised to 2,100 and John Mooney called on the button. Day four-bet to 6,000, Fawzi folded and Marmion shoved all in. Mooney also pushed all his chips into the middle and Day made the call.

Three players flipped their cards, with both Mooney and Marmion at risk.

John Mooney: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Ian Marmion: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Christopher Day: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

"At least I'm live," said Mooney.

"You're far too live," replied Day.

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}. The ace on the flop gave both Marmion and Day top pair and left Mooney drawing thin. He failed to improve and was eliminated from the tournament. Marmion and Day chopped up his stack and Mooney left the table.

Johnson Busts Hartigan in Two Hands

Level 5 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

James Hartigan has been moved from the live streamed table, which now features Steve O'Dwyer's table, to an outer table but that has not worked out for him.

In the first hand, Mitch Johnson opened from early position, which Hartigan three-bet to 2,000 from the button. Johnson then responded with a four-bet to 5,300 after inquiring about Hartigan's stack and Hartigan called.

The flop came down {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Johnson continuation-bet for 2,800. Hartigan took one last peak at his cards before passing them to the dealer.

Johnson would bust Hartigan not much later when Johnson had a full house with {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} on {q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The rest of Hartigan's stack went in with {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for turned trips. The river was the {a-Clubs}, which resulted in Hartigan's exit. However, he speeded to the reentry desk to fire another bullet and is already playing on another table.

Lardner Hits Flush Against van den Berg's Aces to Double

Level 5 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Thierry van den Berg
Thierry van den Berg

Following a late position raise, Stephen Lardner called on the button and Thierry van den Berg reraised to 3,100 from the small blind. Lardner made the call and two players went to the flop.

The dealer turned over {2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and van den Berg made a continuation bet of 2,500. Lardner shoved all in for 12,000 and van den Berg made the call.

"Aces against...?", said a neutral player at the table as players flipped over their cards.

Stephen Lardner: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Thierry van den Berg: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Van den Berg had pocket aces and Lardner had a flush draw and pair of fours. The turn came the {j-Spades} and the river was the {j-Clubs}, which completed Lardner's flush and gave him a much needed double up.

Papp Takes It Down With Turn Bet

Level 5 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Oisin Farrelly limped in from early position and Merivan Hassan raised to 1,000. Gabor Papp called, as did Farrelly.

Three players went to the flop, which came {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and all three players checked. The turn was the {6-Hearts} and action checked to Hassan, who bet 1,200. Papp made the call.

The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Papp bet out for 5,000, which was enough for Hassan to find the fold.

Talbot Sits Down, Loses Flip

Level 5 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

PokerStars Ambassador Parker Talbot has just sat down at the tables. A single T-5000 chip was in front of him as he had opened the action to an unknown amount from early position. Martin Lynch was on the button and three-bet to 1,800. Talbot then four-bet to 25,000, more than enough to cover Lynch's 16,000 stack. Lynch snap called and it was revealed to be a classic race.

Martin Lynch: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Parker Talbot: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The flop ran out out {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Lynch's full house locked it up on the turn. Luck has not been in Talbot's favor yet as he was left with less than half a starting stack after already busting two bullets on Day 1b.
