Spragg Flops Trips, Wins a Small One

Level 14 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Marle Spragg
Marle Spragg

Marle Spragg is sitting on a healthy stack and just increased that by a little bit.

She opened from under the gun to 5,500 and received calls from Liam Tansey in the hijack and Jonathan Lynch in the big blind.

Fives galore as the {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} were dealt as the flop. Lynch checked to Spragg, who bet 10,000. Tansey called the bet and Lynch got out of the way.

The turn {10-Spades} got checked through and on the river {k-Clubs} Spragg added another 10,000 to the pot. Tansey was not happy with his holdings anymore, as he passed his cards to the dealer. Tansey was still left with a big stack of over 100 big blinds himself.

Mavritsakis Eventually Makes Correct Call to Eliminate Ntamaris

Level 14 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Fotios Ntamaris
Fotios Ntamaris

Panagiotis Mavritsakis made a middle position raise and Fotios Ntamaris called in the big blind.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Ntamaris led out for 3,000, which Mavritsakis called.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Ntamaris led again for 5,000, which was a decent chunk of his short stack. Mavritsakis called again.

The river was the {7-Diamonds}. Ntamaris shoved all in for 17,000 and Mavritsakis tanked for so long that it seemed like time itself had stopped. Players twitched and rubbed their eyes and eventually a neutral player at the table called time. With just seconds to spare, Mavritsakis made the call.

Ntamaris showed {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Mavritsakis showed {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for a pair of sixes, catching Ntamaris' bluff and sending him to the rail.

Beresford Bombs River

Level 14 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

In a small pot of around 13,500, Glen Keogh bet close to the minimum 2,500 on a board of {2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Conor Beresford was in middle position and did not deem the minimum enough, raising the bet to 32,000.

This sent Keogh deep into the tank as he engaged in some speech play. ''What do you want me to do?'', Keogh asked. Beresford laughed and said "I'm rich, I don't care!''.

After a while, Keogh folded his holding. Beresford was kind enough to show the {a-Hearts}. He later claimed that he did have the flush while discussing the spot with his opponent.

Hand Calls in Big Blind and Doubles Up

Level 14 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Fintan Hand
Fintan Hand

Action folded around to Tomas Galkus, who shoved all in from the button. Fintan Hand called in the big blind with a short stack. Players flipped over their cards. Hand was at risk of elimination.

Fintan Hand: {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Tomas Galkus: {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Both players were holding an ace with a weak kicker and it looked like a chopped pot was the most likely outcome. The board ran out {10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Spades}{5-Spades}. The low cards on the board meant that Hand's {6-Clubs} kicker played to give him the double up.

Conor Bergin
Conor Bergin

Ioannis-Angelou Konstas raised from late position and Niko Heggelmann moved all in from the button for 33,000 chips. Conor Bergin isolated all in. Two players flipped their cards, with Bergin the player at risk.

Conor Bergin: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Niko Heggelmann: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Neither player improved on a board of {3-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Heggelmann's pocket jacks held up and Bergin busted.

Newey On the Right Side of Flip

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Tomas Galkus opened the action from the cutoff by raising to 4,500. Paul Newey was on the button and shoved for 22,000 chips. The blinds got out of the way before Galkus instantly called.

Paul Newey: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Tomas Galkus: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Newey flopped a set on {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and sprung in the lead in this flip. The turn {5-Hearts} brought chop outs, but the {4-Spades} did not bring a flush on the board, thus shipping the pot to Newey.

Foggin Leaves Himself Ten Bigs

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Marc Foggin raised from early position to 4,000, which Daniel Turner three-bet from the hijack to 11,500. Foggin put in the extra chips and the pair saw a flop.

{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades} was put in front of the players and Foggin checked. Turner put out a small bet of 6,000 and Foggin quickly called.

On the {k-Diamonds} turn, Turner doubled the bet to 12,500, and again Foggin check-called. The {2-Clubs} river hit the felt and Turner now bet enough to put the 22,000 stack of Foggin at risk. Foggin now instantly folded, granting the pot to Turner.
