Aleksi Naski and Lucas Schenck were heads up on a board of J♦2♦9♥4♥. With 15,000 chips in the middle, Schenck had raised Naski's bet of 11,000 chips to 25,000 and Naski made the call.
The J♠ river then completed the board and both players checked down. Schenck showed 10♥8♣ for a missed draw, ending up with ten-high. Naski also missed his outs with K♠Q♦, but had the higher hand anyway and dragged in the pot.

With 45,000 chips in the pot, Patrick Beuter made a bet of 16,500 from early position on a board of Q♣K♥4♣A♣. Big stack Robbie Anderson quickly called in middle position, and the J♠ river was dealt.
Beuter announced his all-in for 58,000 chips and this time Anderson made a quick fold, diving under the 200,000-chip mark.
Orestis Kanakopoulos jammed all in for 6,800 from under the gun and was looked up by his fellow countryman Ioannis Angelou-Konstas in the small blind

The 2♣6♣5♠ flop did not look promising for Kanakopoulos, but Angelou-Konstas called for the four of clubs for a sweat.
The 8♣ turn brought him the sweat he asked for, and the 7♥ turn saw Kanakopoulos make a straight to double up.
Day 1a ended up with 379 entries, a significant increase over the 324 entries it had in 2023.
Of those, 142 players remain and they will play for four more levels before they bag and tag for Day 2.
Michael Kane in middle position checked to Wouter Beltz in the hijack on a flop of 7♣5♦3♣. Beltz then fired a bet of 5,000 into the pot of 18,000, which Kane raised to 15,000.
Beltz responded with a three-bet to 32,000, after which Kane jammed all in for 89,200. Beltz quickly made the call with the covering stack and a showdown was ordered.
